This role does not offer sponsorship.\nAs part of our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Design & Food Technology Teacher to join our amazing team at Baston House School in Bromley.\nAbout the Role\nWe are seeking a creative and dynamic teacher to bring innovative and exciting learning opportunities to life. You will provide a varied and high-quality education for our students, focusing primarily on practical and technical skills, in line with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.\nAlthough you may have a particular specialism, this role would also suit someone eager to continue developing their own skills alongside our pupils — for example, in smart materials, CAD/CAM, graphics, textiles, resistant materials, electronics, photography, or animation.\nKey Responsibilities\nDeliver engaging, practical lessons that support student development across a range of technical and creative subjects.\nMaintain vigilance with respect to Health and Safety, promptly reporting or addressing hazards to minimise risk.\nOperate at all times in line with safeguarding, child protection, behaviour, and related policies.\nReport issues or incidents relating to staff and students promptly to the relevant line manager.\nParticipate in training, supervision, and annual reviews, taking responsibility for your own professional development.\nWork to promote the school as a valued, professional part of the community.\nUphold the school’s values, maintaining high standards of behaviour and professional conduct.\nUndertake any additional reasonable and relevant duties as required.\nQualifications/Experience:\nQualified Teacher Status (QTS)\nExperience working with autistic or SEN pupils (highly desirable)\nAbout Us\nBaston House is an independent day specialist provider of education and care for young people and adults aged 5 to 19 years who have been diagnosed with Autism (ASC).\nBaston House School ensures that our school environment supports learning and promotes the well-being of pupils and staff through a strong sense of community cohesion.
