TITLE: Motor Transport Technician (12 Month FTC) DEPARTMENT: Motor Transport (TSD) REPORTING TO: Motor Transport Supervisor WORK PATTERNS: Monday to Friday JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY: Support the inspection, maintenance, condition reporting, diagnosis and repair of a varied fleet of vehicles and equipment including cars, vans, buses, and trucks, ensuring all vehicles are safe, legal, and reliable for operation, providing both scheduled planned maintenance and defect repairs. The Technician will be expected to work to a high standard and demonstrate technical competence through a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance Repair, or equivalent. Work hours: 37 hours per week, working Monday to Thursday 08:30-16:30 and Friday 08:30-16:00. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: • Be able to inspect, service, maintain and repair a varied fleet of vehicles and equipment., • Minimum Level II Technician with a background of vehicle servicing., • Current full UK driving licence., • Current LGV/PCV driving licence would be desirable but is not essential., • Diagnostic experience is desirable but not essential., • Candidates must have a 5-year checkable work history., • Candidates must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skill level at interview., • Contribute to delivering great guest experience by performing your role with accuracy and efficiency.
