We are looking for a confident and detail-driven Client Finance Manager / Management Accountant to join our small, focused accountancy practice. This role combines the preparation of high-quality management accounts with compliance support for a varied client portfolio. You will work across multiple clients, taking ownership of management accounting from data review and reconciliations through to monthly management accounts packs, including commentary and analysis. In addition, you will support smaller clients with VAT, year-end accounts and self-assessment work. Our environment is calm, quiet and low-distraction. This role suits someone who is confident in their ability, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently while being part of a close-knit team. Key Responsibilities • Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts to tight deadlines, • Production of full management packs, including clear written commentary, • Detailed balance sheet and control account reconciliations, • Variance analysis, ratio calculation and interpretation of results, • Updating weekly and monthly cashflow forecasts, • Assistance with annual budget preparation and reforecasting, • Year-end accounts support and preparation of working papers, • Investigating discrepancies and resolving issues efficiently, • UK & EU VAT return preparation and submission, • Self-assessment tax return preparation, • Communicating with clients and their customers, suppliers to answer queries, • Management accounting experience (CIMA qualified or QBE), • Compliance Experience (VAT/CIS/Payroll), • Strong IT skills, including Excel, Xero and Sage, • Comfortable working within a fully paperless environment, • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, • Able xrnqpay to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively, • Someone who thrives in a quiet, focused working environment, • Proactive, organised and reliable, • Calm, professional and quietly confident with clients, • Enjoys responsibility and takes ownership of their work, • Strong with reconciliations, analysis and interpretation of financial information, • Confident in ability to manage switching to different client processes accurately and efficientlyBenefits, • Company Pension, • Flexitime, • On Site Parking, • Refreshments
