Job Title: Injection Moulding Setter Location: Tamworth Salary: £44,000 - £46,000 Shift: • On - 2 Days, 2 Nights, • Off - 5 Days, • On - 2 Days, 3 Nights, • Off - 4 Days, • On - 3 Days, 2 Nights, • Off - 5 Days Overview We are seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Setter to join a busy and forward-thinking manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for setting and running moulding production orders, ensuring consistent high-quality output. You'll play a key role in achieving Right First Time and Just in Time manufacturing, working with advanced moulding techniques and standardised processes. Key Responsibilities • Set and condition injection mould tools to meet production requirements, • Run production orders using pre-set programmes, monitoring output quality throughout the shift, • Respond to machine alarms and faults, implementing permanent corrective actions, • Carry out routine maintenance and fault finding on injection moulding machines and tooling, • Control and optimise processing parameters in line with product standards and cost requirements, • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, production, and quality checks, • Support supervision of shift staff when required in the absence of a Supervisor, • Prepare auxiliary equipment, jigs, fixtures, and assembly machines, • Perform quality checks in line with company standards and identify defects, • Carry out first-line troubleshooting of process and quality issues, • Ensure safe handling and accurate movement of materials and stock, • Support tooling trials, processing, and optimisation for new projects, • Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives Skills & Experience Required • Previous experience within and Injection Moulding environment, • Good knowledge of modern injection moulding machinery, robotics, tooling, finishing equipment, printing, assembling, • Minimum 3 years' experience as an Injection Moulding Technician, • Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding capability, • Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding capability, • Experience with injection moulding machines, tooling, and process optimisation For further details, please contact Nick Sollis – 01453 829767 or email your cv Omega Resource Group are an employment agency specialising in opportunities at all levels within the Engineering, Aerospace, Automotive, Electronics, Defence, Scientific, Oil & Gas, Construction and Manufacturing sectors.
