SEN Teaching Assistants Full-Time – Start After the Easter Break (or sooner for the right candidate) Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs? Our Barnsley-based school site is expanding, and we’re looking for committed SEN Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team. About the School The school is part of a well-established and forward-thinking multi-academy trust known for its inclusive ethos, strong values, and focus on providing high-quality education for all learners. The site supports pupils with a broad range of additional needs, offering a nurturing environment, personalised learning pathways, and access to experienced, supportive colleagues. Students who attend the site present with a range of SEN, including: • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, • Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: • Support students in the classroom and during structured interventions., • Help deliver tailored learning activities adapted to individual needs., • Assist with behaviour regulation and emotional wellbeing., • Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN professionals, and external agencies., • Previous experience supporting children with the SEN listed above (essential)., • A patient, resilient, and caring approach., • Ability to build trust and positive relationships with pupils., • Strong communication skills., • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn., • A supportive school community with a strong emphasis on staff wellbeing., • Opportunities for ongoing training and professional development., • Full-time, long-term roles with the potential to become permanent., • Start date after the Easter break, with the option to begin earlier for the right candidate.
