Responsibilities: Prepare a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, maki, sashimi, and specialty rolls, using fresh ingredients. Ensure the freshness and proper storage of all seafood and ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the work area and follow all food safety guidelines. Set up and stock the sushi bar and workstations before the shift. Monitor inventory and assist in ordering sushi-grade fish and other necessary supplies. Ensure all dishes are presented with excellent visual appeal and meet high taste standards. Participate in menu development and introduce creative sushi ideas based on seasonality and trends. Requirements: Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or other relevant culinary role. Understanding of Japanese cuisine, techniques for preparing sushi, and knife skills. Ability to create visually appealing and flavorful sushi dishes. Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Here at Sushi Daily we offer daily freshly hand made sushi prepared in store at Waitrose for Customers to enjoy at home or on the go. We are looking for team members with at least 1 years of Sushi Making and fish cutting experience. • prepare all types of sushi, including maki, nigiri and sashimi, • manage food prep activities, like cooking rice, cleaning and cutting vegetables, • maintain hygiene principles in all cooking areas and clean your space at the end of the shift.
