You’ll be joining a hands-on operation where quality matters. From sushi rice and knife work to presentation, service speed and food safety, you’ll play an important part in making sure every dish leaving the kitchen reflects the Sushinoya standard. THE ROLE As a Sushi Chef, you’ll work closely with the Head Chef and wider BOH team to prepare fresh ingredients, produce sushi throughout service and keep your section organized, clean and ready to perform. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR · Previous experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar sushi-production environment. · Strong knife skills and confidence working with fresh ingredients. · Good understanding of sushi rice preparation, storage and handling. · A strong understanding of food hygiene, food safety and allergen controls. · Someone who takes pride in presentation and consistency. · Ability to stay calm, organized and accurate when the restaurant is busy. · A team player who communicates well with chefs, managers and FOH colleagues. · Reliable, punctual and ready to take ownership of your section. · Flexible availability, including weekends where required. · A positive attitude and genuine interest in learning and developing. WHAT WE OFFER · Competitive pay and a stable contract. · Structured training on Sushinoya products, recipes and operating standards. · The opportunity to work with an experienced Head Chef and supportive management team. · Real opportunities to develop your skills and progress as the business grows. · Potential progression into Senior Sushi Chef, Sous Chef or other kitchen leadership roles for the right person. · Opportunities across multiple Sushinoya and Kim’s Group locations. · A fast-paced but supportive working environment where good work is recognized. · Staff benefits and discounts in line with company policy. YOU’LL BE A GREAT FIT IF... You enjoy the detail that goes into great sushi, you care about doing things properly, and you want to work somewhere where your contribution matters. You don’t need to know every Sushinoya process on day one — we’ll train you on our standards — but we do want someone who brings strong sushi fundamentals, energy, reliability and a willingness to improve.
