This role involves transporting heavy goods safely, ensuring loads are tied down safely. Duties Operate flatbed lorries for the delivery of steel kits and welded assemblies to and from sub-contractors Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe working order. Load and unload lorry using forklift Communicate effectively with yard men regarding deliveries and any issues that may arise. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. Perform basic mechanical checks and maintenance on the vehicle as needed.
