7.5 Tonne Driver / Warehouse Operative Job Type: Full-time Hours: Monday Friday, 6am 4pm About Us Premier Contract Supplies are suppliers of sanitary-ware to the new build market, buying products from a large mix of suppliers, helping house builders create a specification and then distributing from one of our five warehouses across the UK. Job Description We have an exciting opportunity for?an?enthusiastic?7.5 Tonne Driver/Warehouse Operative?to join our?team in Farnborough.?We are looking for someone with 7.5 tonne driving and warehousing experience, who is hard-working, conscientious and passionate about contributing towards the smooth and professional delivery of products to customers at their building sites. This is a very physical role involving heavy lifting. Driver / Warehouse Operative Responsibilities Include: • Conduct full vehicle inspections, • Fueling Vehicles, • Safe and efficient handling of vehicle in all respects, including the optimisation of fuel usage, cleanliness of vehicle, • Responsible for the security of the vehicle & load at all times, • Ensure that all delivery procedures are followed in line with Company and Customer procedures, • Ensure all Company documentation and equipment is returned to the transport office/depot daily, • Ensure Health & Safety requirements are met within Company and legal frameworks, • Report vehicle defects and ensure that the defect is documented, • Comply with Drivers regulations & Working Time Directive in line with the current legislation and Company procedures, • Ensure the Digital Driver Card is carried at all times, that the card is downloaded according to current legislation/regulations, • Attend a driver debrief at the end of each shift and provide information relating to shift, • Able to portray a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, • Packing, picking and labelling of stock for final delivery, • Loading and unloading of goods from vehicles, • Checking and receipt of goods delivered, • Recording and distribution of products to the correct location for put-away, • Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures, • To comply with company procedures with the use of mechanical handling equipment, • Corresponding with internal departments when necessary, • Assisting with stock taking, • Keeping warehouse/yard area clean and tidy, • In addition to these duties, you may be required to undertake other duties in line with the needs of the business, where appropriate training provided. Qualities Needed: • Must hold a valid, Class C1 driving licence, • Must have at least 1 year of 7.5 tonne driving experience, • Hold a valid Digital Tachograph card with recent activity, • Be CPC qualified, • Have multi-drop driving experience, • Counterbalance and/or Reach truck certificate preferable, • Physically fit to perform manual tasks as required, • Organised and good attention to detail, • Self-motivated, • Confident and able to use own initiative when needed, • Excellent time keeping skills, • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
