Job Title: Private Banking Manager Location: Winchester Reporting to: Branch Manager About the Role We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Private Banking Manager to join a relationship-focused banking environment. This role is centred on managing and growing a portfolio of high-value clients, delivering tailored financial solutions, and driving sustainable business growth. Key Responsibilities Portfolio Management & Client Relationships • Manage and develop a portfolio of private banking clients, including professionals, business owners, and high-net-worth individuals, • Deliver exceptional client service while identifying opportunities to deepen relationships, • Act as a trusted advisor across lending, deposits, and wealth-related products Business Development • Proactively originate new client relationships through networking, referrals, and professional connections, • Build strong partnerships with intermediaries such as mortgage brokers, professional advisors, and internal stakeholders, • Maintain a strong presence in the local market to support ongoing growth Lending & Financial Solutions • Structure and assess lending proposals, particularly in residential and investment mortgages, • Interpret financial information and make balanced commercial decisions aligned with internal credit frameworks, • Prepare and submit credit applications with a high degree of accuracy and diligence Cross-Selling & Strategy • Identify and deliver cross-selling opportunities across a range of banking and financial products, • Clearly communicate the organisation’s value proposition to clients and the wider market Risk & Compliance • Operate within established risk management and compliance frameworks, • Ensure all activities align with internal policies, escalating issues where appropriate Skills & Experience • Proven track record in business development and originating new client relationships, • Experience managing portfolios of high-net-worth or professional clients within banking, financial advisory, or brokerage environments, • Strong knowledge of lending processes and credit analysis, • Established network or familiarity with local market dynamics is advantageous, • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, • Ability to identify and deliver cross-selling opportunities, • High attention to detail with a structured, methodical approach, • Demonstrates integrity, discretion, and resilience in a dynamic environment Why Apply?
