    Job Description: As a traditional Indian restaurant, we are seeking a Restaurant Manager with specific experience in managing Indian cuisine establishments. The role is integral to our operations and requires cultural and culinary insight unique to this sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full operational oversight of the restaurant, ensuring authenticity, quality service, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities: 1. Operational Management Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and consistent quality. Supervise the preparation and presentation of traditional Indian dishes to maintain authenticity. Ensure hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards are met in accordance with UK regulations and traditional Indian food handling practices. 2. Staff Supervision & Training Lead a diverse team including chefs, waitstaff, and kitchen assistants. Provide training in Indian service standards, traditional food presentation, and cultural dining expectations. Schedule shifts, monitor staff performance, and ensure adequate staffing levels during festivals and peak times (especially Diwali, Eid, etc.). 3. Customer Experience Management Ensure a warm and culturally appropriate atmosphere for all guests. Handle customer feedback and complaints promptly, especially those related to traditional dish preferences or cultural service standards. Oversee reservation systems and dining arrangements with sensitivity to dietary needs and cultural customs. 4. Financial Oversight Manage daily cash flow, budgets, and cost controls tailored to Indian restaurant operations. Monitor profit margins on traditional dishes and implement pricing strategies based on ingredient sourcing and market trends. Work on strategies like thali promotions or festive menus to boost revenue. 5. Inventory & Supplier Coordination Manage inventory of spices, ingredients, and goods essential for Indian cuisine. Build strong relationships with specialist Indian food suppliers to ensure the availability of authentic products. Conduct stock audits to control costs and prevent shortages or wastage. 6. Legal Compliance & Safety Ensure full compliance with UK health and safety laws, as well as food hygiene and fire safety regulations. Maintain up-to-date records of food safety training, staff certifications, and local authority inspections. 7. Community Engagement & Promotion Work with the marketing team to promote cultural events, Indian festivals, and themed nights. Leverage customer feedback to tailor offerings to local demographics while preserving authenticity. Build relationships within the South Asian community to increase brand loyalty and word-of-mouth marketing.
