Bench Joiner Location: SDM Joinery, NG19 0FN Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Hours: Minimum 40 hours per week Salary: Starting from £16.00 per hour, dependant on experience (negotiable) Start Date: Immediate start available. About the Role We are looking for an experienced and motivated Bench Joiner to join our growing team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be a skilled craftsman with experience in producing high-quality bespoke joinery, working from technical drawings, and operating a variety of woodworking machinery. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in producing quality workmanship and is looking to develop their career within a well-established business. Key Responsibilities • Manufacture high-quality bespoke joinery products., • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications., • Operate woodworking machinery safely and efficiently., • Work with a variety of hardwoods and laminate materials., • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality and accuracy., • Maintain a clean and safe working environment., • Work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines. Essential Skills & Experience • Proven experience as a Bench Joiner., • Competent in operating the following machinery:, • Dim Saw, • Spindle Moulder, • Edge Bander, • Planer, • Sander, • Ability to accurately work from technical drawings., • Experience working with a range of hardwoods., • Experience working with laminate materials., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work., • Good understanding of workshop health and safety practices. Desirable Skills & Experience While not essential, experience in the following would be advantageous: • Solid surface fabrication., • Spray finishing.
