We’re on the lookout for an Electrical Project Engineer to join our dynamic United Utilities Water Framework team in the beautiful North West. Location & Hours\n Location: North West Hours: 45 hours per week (some flexibility available—just let us know during our chat!) \n Please note: We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship for this role. Your Role\n As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will be at the forefront of delivering safe and compliant electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation work packages. You’ll coordinate a variety of activities, including: \n \n • Electrical design, procurement, installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning support\n, • Collaborating with project managers, site teams, designers, and supply chain partners\n, • Ensuring right-first-time delivery that meets programme, quality, and client requirements\n Your Responsibilities\n In this role, you will: \n \n • Coordinate electrical and ICA work packages, including MCCs, LV distribution, cabling, drives, instrumentation, telemetry, and PLC/SCADA interfaces\n, • Review electrical design information, specifications, drawings, cable schedules, and technical submissions for buildability and compliance\n, • Support procurement and package management, including scope development, tender reviews, and supplier engagement\n, • Produce and coordinate RAMS, permits, inspection and test plans, commissioning packs, and handover records\n, • Ensure engineering delivery complies with CDM, health and safety legislation, United Utilities standards, and quality procedures\n What We’re Looking For\n This role is perfect for you if: \n \n • You have experience delivering electrical and ICA works on capital projects within the water sector or regulated operational environments\n, • You possess a strong technical understanding of electrical systems, including MCCs, LV distribution, instrumentation, actuators, and control interfaces\n, • You’re comfortable reading and coordinating electrical drawings, specifications, cable schedules, and supplier information\n, • You hold a minimum HNC/HND, degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification in electrical engineering or a related discipline\n, • You have a proactive, organized approach with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build constructive relationships across teams\n \n At Kier, we believe in recognizing potential.
