As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation while leading the kitchen staff effectively. Responsibilities Assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations and managing food production processes. Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to established recipes and standards. Ensure that all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen. Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings. Maintain equipment and ensure it is in good working order. Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely delivery of meals. Qualifications Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably within a restaurant setting. Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences.
