    Bookkeeper (Part-Time) We're looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our small, friendly team. We've been trading successfully for 19 years and have continued to grow steadily. As our client base expands, we're looking for an extra pair of hands to help support our increasing workload. About the Role You'll be responsible for providing bookkeeping services to a variety of clients, including: • Entering sales and purchase invoices, • Bank reconciliations, • Preparing journals, • Payroll and CIS processing You'll also be liaising directly with clients, so good communication skills and a professional, friendly approach are essential. Skills & Experience Ideally, you'll have experience using some or all of the following: • Sage, • Sage Cloud, • QuickBooks, • Xero, • VT Cash Book, • FreeAgent, • Microsoft Office You should also have: • Excellent attention to detail, • A good understanding of VAT, • Good knowledge of payroll and CIS, • Previous bookkeeping experience, • The ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively Hours • 20–30 hours per week, • Spread over 3–5 days, with flexibility on both days and working hours, • There is potential for additional hours as the business continues to grow Location This is an office-based position in the centre of Oakley Village, Hampshire. We're a small, friendly, down-to-earth team that enjoys working together. One final requirement—you'll need to be comfortable around dogs, as there's usually a friendly office dog keeping us company! Duties • Prepare and cook a variety of Caribbean dishes, ensuring authentic flavours and presentation standards are met, • Assist in meal preparation, including marinating, seasoning, and assembling ingredients, • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations, • Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure ingredients are fresh and available, • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction, • Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety guidelines, • Contribute to menu development by suggesting new recipes or variations based on customer feedback Requirements • Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably within a Caribbean or multicultural cuisine environment, • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene, • Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, with a focus on meal preparation and serving, • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times, • Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members, • A genuine passion for culinary arts and delivering exceptional customer service, • Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential This role offers an engaging environment for culinary professionals eager to specialise in Caribbean cuisine while developing their skills within a dynamic team.
