    Supervisor Countrywide Grounds Maintenance Supervisor role Grounds Maintenance Supervisor Salary: £30,000 per year + quarterly bonus Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (7:30am–5:00pm summer / 7:30am–4:00pm winter) Location: Local depot with company van provided We are looking for a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll lead a small team of operatives while carrying out grounds maintenance services for a wide range of clients. These include schools, parks, parish councils, business parks, and housing associations. The role requires a flexible approach, with shifts scheduled between Monday and Sunday, including regular weekend work (approximately 50-75%) and some evenings, particularly during peak periods. The café operates primarily on weekends and during school holidays, with occasional evening events. Salary: £26,890 per annum (FTE), pro-rata to 30 hours per week Role Overview: The successful candidate will keep the Observatory’s café running smoothly while supporting the wider site at weekends. You’ll lead the café team day‑to‑day, monitoring financial performance and ensuring high standards of food quality, service, and a welcoming atmosphere for our visitors. On weekends, you’ll act as Duty Manager, overseeing the site, supporting staff, and ensuring visitors have a safe, enjoyable experience.
