    Job Title: Logistics Manager Company: K&V Chinese Grocery Limited Location: Stoke-on-Trent Job Type: Full-time Salary: £43,000 – £49,000 per annum Key Responsibilities 1. Manage and coordinate the company’s day-to-day logistics operations, including the receipt, storage, movement and distribution of Chinese and Asian food products., 2. Plan and oversee inbound deliveries from suppliers and outbound deliveries to retail, restaurant and business customers, ensuring orders are processed accurately and delivered on time., 3. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers, purchasing staff and store teams to maintain appropriate stock levels and ensure timely replenishment., 4. Oversee the storage and handling of ambient, chilled and frozen food products, ensuring appropriate stock rotation, expiry-date monitoring and effective inventory control., 5. Manage warehouse and stock control procedures, including regular stock checks, investigation of inventory discrepancies and maintenance of accurate inventory records., 6. Analyse stock movement, sales trends and seasonal demand to support purchasing and replenishment planning, particularly during peak trading periods and major Chinese and Asian festivals., 7. Liaise with suppliers, wholesalers, delivery partners and internal teams to resolve delivery delays, stock shortages, damaged goods and other logistics-related issues., 8. Review logistics processes, delivery arrangements and operational performance, and provide recommendations to senior management to improve efficiency, control costs and support business growth. Candidate Requirements 1. Good understanding of stock control, warehouse operations, order fulfilment and delivery coordination., 2. Experience in the food retail, grocery, wholesale or FMCG sector would be an advantage., 3. Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet operational deadlines., 4. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers, delivery partners, customers and internal teams., 5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify operational issues and recommend practical solutions., 6. Desirable Skills • Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau., • Understanding of GDPR and data protection principles., • Knowledge of data governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK., • Exposure to Azure, Microsoft Purview, Collibra, or similar data governance tools is advantageous but not essential.
