Are you an experienced engineer with a passion for mechanical equipment? CNC Recruitment is seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter to join our client based in the Mid Devon district Location: Tiverton Role Type: Field-based Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week Salary: £32,000–£36,000 per annum (paid overtime available) Key Responsibilities • Assist with and carry out commercial biomass boiler installations and project work nationwide, • Provide technical support to Treco operations staff, • Complete detailed snagging lists and commissioning reports, • Assist with compiling parts lists where required, • Diagnose faults and attend breakdowns, • Build and supervise boiler installations, • Produce detailed breakdown reports with recommended actions and required parts, • Ensure all installation work is carried out in accordance with issued design drawings, documenting any deviations, • Undertake pre-commissioning checks as required, • Provide technical support to customers via telephone and on-site visits, • Carry out meter changes in line with RHI/Ofgem requirements, including supporting documentation and images, • Service and maintain boilers as required, • Accurately assess labour and parts required for servicing and repairs, • Conduct risk assessments for all site visits, • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, • Supervise junior staff where applicable, • Maintain a professional and positive representation of the Treco Group, • Complete timesheets, expense forms, and mandatory training, • Follow company processes and procedures, • Maintain company vehicles and tools in good working order, • Work away from home during the week when required Essential Skills & Experience • Previous experience in a similar role, • Mechanical or electrical engineering background, • Proficient in Microsoft Office, • Good written and spoken English, • Full UK driving licence Desirable Skills & Qualifications • Welding experience, • IPAF and/or PASMA licence, • Biomass boiler experience Personal Attributes • Able to work independently and as part of a team, • Strong planning and organisational skills, • Effective communicator with colleagues, trades, and clients, • Flexible and willing to learn new skills, • Reliable and able to meet deadlines, • Proactive with strong problem-solving abilities, • Professional and approachable manner Benefits • Company pension scheme, • Health and wellbeing support package, • 21 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, • 1 additional day’s leave per year of service (up to 5 extra days), • Additional paid birthday leave, • One paid volunteer day per year, • Overnight expenses covered when working away, • Comprehensive, industry-specific training provided
