Job DescriptionClient Support Specialist (Showroom) Location: Fishkill, NY Pay Rate: $17–$22/hour (based on experience) Overtime: Guaranteed (Saturday required in peak season - paid time & a half) Position Overview The Client Support Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for customers visiting or contacting the showroom. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to both homeowners completing do-it-yourself projects and commercial or trade clients placing material orders. The position supports customers throughout the full sales and fulfillment lifecycle—from initial inquiry and product selection through order placement, coordination, delivery, and post‑sale follow‑up. This individual plays a key role in ensuring accurate order fulfillment, strong customer relationships, and a consistently positive showroom experience. Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Sales Support • Greet and assist showroom visitors with friendly, professional, and knowledgeable service, • Guide DIY homeowners through product selection, including materials, quantities, and application considerations, • Support contractors and trade customers with order placement, pricing inquiries, and account-based service, • Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person, • Build rapport with customers by understanding project needs and recommending appropriate solutionsOrder Management & Fulfillment, • Accurately enter and process customer orders within internal systems, • Coordinate inventory availability, scheduling, delivery, or customer pickup, • Provide proactive communication regarding order status and timelines, • Resolve order discrepancies, backorders, and delivery issues efficiently, • Ensure all confirmations, documentation, and follow‑ups are completed accuratelyFollow‑Up & Relationship Management, • Conduct post‑order follow‑ups to confirm satisfaction and resolve issues, • Maintain organized customer records, notes, and order histories, • Provide consistent service to returning customers and support repeat business, • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer experiencesShowroom & Administrative Support, • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming showroom environment, • Assist with product displays, sample organization, and showroom upkeep, • Support administrative tasks related to customer service and sales tracking, • High School Diploma required, • 3+ years of experience in customer service, showroom support, or a related service-based environment, • Demonstrated ability to wear multiple hats, balancing customer service, administrative tasks, and order management in a dynamic setting, • Proven experience working in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism, • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with confidence supporting both homeowners and trade customers, • Experience with order entry, data entry, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), • Comfortable making outbound calls and handling follow‑ups, • Reliable, organized, and detail‑oriented, with a strong sense of ownership over customer needs, • Winter Schedule (December – March):, • Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, • Spring/Summer Schedule (April – November):, • Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, • Saturday, 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Required – Guaranteed OT), • Family-owned organization with a strong reputation and customer‑focused mission, • Opportunity to grow long‑term, take on additional responsibilities, and increase pay upon permanent conversion This is a Permanent position based out of FISHKILL, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
