The RN will provide specialized care to pediatric patients with cardiac, surgical, and critical care needs. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care experience and the ability to manage complex patient conditions in a fast-paced PICU environment. Roles and Responsibilities: • Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in a Pediatric Cardiovascular / PICU environment., • Monitor and assess critically ill pediatric patients, including post-operative cardiac and surgical cases., • Interpret cardiac monitoring and read telemetry strips as required., • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans., • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols., • Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in clinical status., • Maintain accurate patient documentation using the EPIC charting system., • Provide education and support to patients’ families and caregivers., • Follow infection control and patient safety protocols., • Strong pediatric critical care and cardiovascular nursing skills, • Ability to interpret telemetry strips, • Excellent patient monitoring and assessment abilities, • Effective communication and teamwork skills, • Ability to work in high-acuity environments, • Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License, • Minimum 2 years of PICU / pediatric critical care experience, • Experience with post-operative, surgical, medical, and cardiac pediatric patients, • AHA - BLS,ACLS, PALS, • Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend, • Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend, • Holiday Requirement: Yes, • Floating: Required to PICU, • Local candidates accepted, • Total Beds: 26, • Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:1 or 1:2 Charting System: EPIC Application Process: Please submit your resume to Manas.m(at)medcadre.com.Qualified candidates will be contacted promptly for next steps.
