Job Description Endoscopy Technician- Cayuga Medical Center- Full Time- Days When two established local health systems unite as one collaborative network, healthcare becomes so much more. The Endoscopy Technician is responsible for the preparation of instruments, set-up of procedure with all equipment necessary to perform any endoscopy procedure, and post procedure turn-over of equipment, room, and patient care assistance. These responsibilities include set up of correct equipment, procedural assistance under the supervision of the physician, proper cleaning and maintenance of endoscopes, and assistance with care of patient. Independent judgement is exercised under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse. Job Description Department: Surgical Services Title: System Director of Perioperative Services Reports To: Senior Director, Procedural and Perioperative Services Job Summary: The System Director of Perioperative Services is responsible for the direction and leadership of operational, financial, programmatic, and personnel activities for all Cayuga Health perioperative services departments. These include Main campus, Surgicare, Endoscopy, and Schuyler Hospital. The director is responsible for the integration and alignment of surgical and procedural operations within Cayuga Health Medical Center perioperative departments to increase patient safety, satisfaction, efficiency, throughput, and margins. Departments of responsibility include operating room, preoperative and post-operative care, preadmission testing, surgery schedulers, and sterile processing department.
