Job Title: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Organization: Aveanna Education Services Location: Northern Valley School District Employment Type: Part-time Schedule: 2 full days per week for public school settings Typical Placements: K-8 schools within the Northern Valley area Caseload: Relatively small but would need to complete FBAs, classroom/teacher consults, and at times attend IEP meetings Requirements: Must hold a NJ BCBA Certification Overview: Aveanna Education Services (AES) is seeking Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to lead an ABA-based early intervention clinic/classroom being run by the Northern Valley School District. Key Responsibilities: • Assessment and Individualized Treatment Planning, • Initial Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments using tools such as the VB-MAPP (Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program)., • Individualized Treatment Plans (ITP): Develop customized plans for each child based on assessment results, addressing specific needs, goals, and strengths. Review and update these plans quarterly., • Behavioral Interventions, • Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA): Implement evidence-based interventions such as Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Natural Environment Training (NET), and Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT)., • Positive Behavior Support (PBS): Utilize proactive strategies to promote desirable behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors, incorporating Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)., • Skill Acquisition Programs, • Communication Skills: Enhance verbal and non-verbal communication using techniques like the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices through a verbal behavior model., • Social Skills Training: Facilitate structured playgroups, peer modeling, and social stories to foster interaction and social understanding., • Adaptive Skills: Provide training in activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, feeding, and toileting, to promote independence., • Data Collection and Progress Monitoring, • Real-Time Data Collection: Continuously collect data on target behaviors and skills using digital tools and software for efficient tracking., • Regular Progress Reviews: Conduct weekly team meetings to discuss progress, update ITPs, and adjust interventions as needed., • Completion of Daily Clinical Notes: Maintain thorough documentation and complete daily clinical notes to ensure accurate records and facilitate billing for services., • Family Involvement and Training, • Parent Training Programs: Conduct workshops and one-on-one training sessions to empower parents with ABA techniques and strategies., • Home-Based Support: Extend clinic programs into the home environment through regular consultation and support., • Collaborative Approach, • Interdisciplinary Team: Coordinate with BCBAs, Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and special education teachers., • Integrated Services: Ensure seamless collaboration with early intervention programs to maintain consistency across settings., • Supervision and Training, • BHT Supervision: Provide supervision and training to Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs), ensuring they effectively implement ITPs and utilize ABA techniques., • Service Provision, • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field., • Board Certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA)., • Experience in conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans for young children with developmental and behavioral challenges., • Strong understanding of ABA principles and techniques, including DTT, NET, and PRT., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
