Position Summary Empire Justice Center is a leader in providing high-quality, cutting-edge training and state support services for civil legal services providers statewide, and we are pleased to announce the opening for the new position of State Support and Training Manager. This position will play a crucial role in the growth and implementation of our expanding statewide training and technical assistance resources. This position will work closely with the Senior Marketing Manager to ensure promotion of training opportunities, the Director of Training and Technical Assistance, the Director of Litigation, and the Director of Operations, as well as other staff tasked with providing training and technical assistance services. This position will develop and enhance Empire Justice Center’s processes and programs for providing exceptional training, technical assistance, and state support to civil legal services providers statewide. Responsibilities will include supporting and enhancing internal systems for developing, presenting, and preserving presentations, training materials, and other technical assistance resources for advocates. The State Support and Training Manager will also be responsible for incorporating and implementing new technologies designed to enhance the user’s learning experience. This position will be supervised by the Director of Operations or another position on the Leadership Team. Salary The referenced pay range/scale represents this job's estimated minimum and maximum compensation. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range and determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, market data, and internal equity considerations. The salary for a State Support and Training Manager with 3 years of experience is $62,619, and the salary for a State Support and Training Manager with 5 years of experience is $70,000. Requirements: Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Travel to and work in the Rochester Telesca Center or Albany office is required to meet client and organizational needs. o This position is Stay current on all New York State Continuing Legal Education (NYS CLE) Board policies and procedures for accredited providers. · Maintain Empire Justice Center’s current and archival record-keeping for CLE programs. · Review and improve internal systems for CLE administration, including but not limited to: logistics, calendaring, announcements, marketing, branding, registration, content compliance, attendance verification, evaluation, and issuance of CLE certificates. · Provide CLE administration and logistics support to staff as requested, including, but not limited to: setting up and monitoring registrations, reserving training platforms, recording and posting events, attendance verification, arranging special accommodations, moderation and technology support, and coordination and distribution of materials. · Work with the Director of Training and Technical Assistance to ensure all Empire Justice- hosted CLEs are high-quality and compliant with NYS CLE Board requirements for an accredited provider. · Maintain CLE training data in our data management systems. · Upload CLE trainings to our online learning platforms. · Prepare Annual Reports to the CLE Board. · Participate in any audits from the CLE Board. · Support the administration and logistics of our CLE fee-for-service work to outside organizations. · Provide training administration and logistics support to staff as requested, including, but not limited to: setting up and monitoring registrations, reserving training platforms, recording and posting events, attendance verification, arranging special accommodations, moderation and technology support, and coordination and distribution of materials. · Working and coordinating with the Operations staff, supporting the administration and logistics of external fee-for-service trainings, including, but not limited to: preparation of invoices, tax forms, and processing honoraria. · Create and maintain a marketing list of fee-for-service trainings. · Assist in the logistical planning and execution of conferences and other significant training events. · Support the Director of Training and Technical Assistance with the development and implementation of internal training and technical assistance-related policies and procedures. · Support the Director of Training and Technical Assistance with the professional development of staff in creating training presentations and materials for advocates that are engaging, effective, and of high quality. · Working with the Senior Marketing Manager, ensure that training materials, state support resources, and other technical assistance materials produced and distributed by Empire Justice Center are high-quality, professional in style, and appropriately branded. · Working with the Senior Marketing Manager, develop and execute a plan for promotion of training events and programs across all platforms, including promotion of our state support technical assistance services. · Support and manage training documentation, reports, technical assistance services, and other administrative tasks related to training and technical assistance, including different data management-related requests. · Collect and report training and technical assistance data for reporting to our funders, as requested. · Support the planning, development, and implementation of new online training catalogue and management platforms. · With guidance from the Director of Training and Technical Assistance, create, implement, manage, and use a system to ensure that trainings on our online platform are kept current and dated material is archived. · Develop and maintain training calendars, schedules, coordinate training programs, facilitate training programs, and supervise and assist in their planning. · Create and manage marketing and promotion of our state support technical assistance services. · With assistance from the Operations team and others, ensure online technical assistance materials, such as the Online Resource Center and other advocate portals, are current, well- organized, and user-friendly. · Work closely with the assigned supervisor and participating in regular supervision meetings, including work plan development, and grant deliverable management (if applicable). · Develop and implement internal training database, tracking system and other internal training and support as needed. · Please note that all positions will supervise other practice group or department members if needed. · Due to limited resources, all staff are expected to perform administrative and other support- related duties to serve our clients and fulfill our mission as a non-profit legal services organization. · Other duties as assigned by your supervisor and/or to meet the organization’s needs. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) · At least 3 years of experience as a training coordinator, events planner or coordinator, legal training coordinator, or in a comparable position with a law office, not-for-profit or legal services organization. · Demonstrated excellence in utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn and adapt to other applications quickly. · Must demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills, including proficiency in technology that facilitates the delivery of communication, documents, and other materials. · Must demonstrate excellence in technology systems, facilitating the creation and delivery of communication, documents, and record-keeping, among other tasks. · Skilled in problem management. · Hands-on experience in hosting training, onboarding, or facilitating learning sessions within alegal, non-profit, or corporate setting preferred. · Experience utilizing a learning Management System to deliver and track training programs preferred. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Proficiency in both modern and traditional training methods. · Strong proficiency with web-based training applications, such as Zoom. · Familiarity with NYS Continuing Legal Education (CLE) preferred. · Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage priorities effectively. · Strong collaboration/cooperation skills. · Experience in report writing. · Demonstrate a keen attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. · Experience in and commitment to working with marginalized communities.
