Position Purpose The Sr. Manager of Information Technology serves as the senior technology leader for TYR Sport and Swimwear Anywhere, responsible for defining and executing the IT strategy across both organizations. Reporting directly to the COO, this role owns the full technology lifecycle — from infrastructure and security to vendor management and team development. The Sr. Manager translates business needs into scalable, reliable technology solutions that support retail, e-commerce, and distribution operations, while building a high-performing IT function capable of growing with the business. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Planning • Develop and execute a multi-year IT roadmap aligned to TYR Sport and Swimwear Anywhere's business objectives, in partnership with the COO and executive leadership., • Drive technology decisions across infrastructure, security, cloud, SaaS platforms, and end-user computing., • Lead annual IT budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning; optimize spend across both organizations., • Evaluate and recommend technology investments, consolidation opportunities, and build vs. buy decisions., • Translate operational and e-commerce requirements into scalable, maintainable technology solutions. Infrastructure & Security • Own enterprise infrastructure including networks (WAN/LAN), servers, cloud environments, and data centers across all TYR Sport and Swimwear Anywhere locations., • Establish and enforce cybersecurity policies, access controls, endpoint protection, and incident response procedures., • Oversee business continuity and disaster recovery planning, testing, and documentation., • Ensure all systems meet appropriate compliance and data privacy standards relevant to retail and e-commerce operations., • Lead evaluation and implementation of new infrastructure technologies including cloud migration and hybrid environments. Team Leadership & Development • Directly manage a small IT team (2–5 technicians), providing mentorship, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities., • Set team priorities, manage workload distribution, and ensure high-quality support delivery across both organizations., • Build a culture of accountability, proactive communication, and continuous improvement within the IT team., • Define hiring needs and participate in recruitment as the team grows., • Establish on-call rotation schedules and escalation procedures. Vendor & Stakeholder Management • Own relationships with key technology vendors, MSPs, SaaS providers, and telecom partners; negotiate contracts and SLAs., • Serve as the primary IT escalation point for executive stakeholders at both TYR Sport and Swimwear Anywhere., • Partner with department heads to understand technology needs and ensure IT priorities reflect business requirements., • Lead cross-functional technology initiatives including system integrations, platform upgrades, and new tool rollouts. IT Operations & Governance • Establish and maintain IT policies, standards, and governance frameworks across both organizations., • Oversee ITSM practices including ticket workflows, SLA tracking, change management, and knowledge base development., • Ensure IT asset management, licensing compliance, and configuration documentation are maintained accurately., • Drive continuous improvement in service delivery, system uptime, and end-user satisfaction metrics., • Monitor RMM, security, and performance dashboards; escalate and resolve issues proactively. Requirements Experience • 7+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 3 years in a management or lead role., • Proven experience supporting multi-site retail, e-commerce, or distribution environments strongly preferred., • Track record of building and leading small-to-mid-size IT teams., • Experience owning IT budgets and vendor relationships. Technical Skills • Deep expertise in enterprise networking (WAN/LAN, SD-WAN, VPN, firewalls), server infrastructure, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)., • Strong background in cybersecurity frameworks, endpoint management, and incident response., • Proficiency with ITSM platforms, RMM tools, and IT governance practices., • Familiarity with ERP, WMS, or e-commerce platform integrations relevant to retail/distribution., • Working knowledge of Windows and macOS environments, virtualization, and backup/DR solutions. Leadership & Interpersonal Skills • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical executives and stakeholders., • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously., • Collaborative leader who builds trust across teams and fosters a service-oriented culture., • Self-directed, decisive, and comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast-paced, dual-brand environment. Preferred Certifications • CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent security certification., • ITIL Foundation or higher., • Microsoft, AWS, or Google Cloud certifications a plus.
