Duties and responsibilities • Prepare the receiving dock for incoming orders and maintain a clean and orderly workspace., • Assist shipping and receiving by unloading trucks and checking in merchandise; track and monitor all inbound product for that day., • When receiving product in, breakdown Purchase Order (PO) by item on a separate pallet., • Unload and Inspect: Unload trucks and inspect materials for quality, defects, and accurate counts., • Documentation: Verify shipments against purchase orders (POs) and Advanced Shipping Notices (ASNs)., • Inventory Control: Log items into inventory systems and ensure proper storage., • Organization: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area., • Coordination: Coordinate with purchasing to resolve discrepancies, such as damaged or incorrect items., • Equipment Operation: Safely operate material handling equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks., • Verify product and quantities with purchase orders., • Handle all products with care to avoid damages and loss, • Compare packing list to the product received, all numbers should match.
