Description of the Role: This role will be responsible for assisting the Family Office Investment accounting operations and financial management with the Financial Staff Accountant with experience in Asset-Wealth Management or Public Accounting. This role will require strong knowledge in accounting, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills. This is an ideal position for a hard-working and self-motivated accountant for a Fund Accounting position who is extremely detailed, organized and enjoys being challenged with new and ever-changing responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Accounting Operations & Administration: o Books maintenance and facilitate month-end close for the group, its affiliates, handle taxation; distributions and investors’ data collection. O Facilitate and Assist Financial Accounting Manager with the year-end audit processes, year-end audit process in collaboration with teams and the administrator. o Investigate and record corporate actions, dividends, financing costs as well as other expenses Implement accounting procedures and monitor systems. o Work closely with the accounting and investment team on projects that include system and reporting implementation Monitor bookkeeping account in QuickBooks. o Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and tax standards as required. Finance Operations and Administration: o Assist in financial operations including budgeting; forecasting; financial reporting and analysis. o Perform timely and accurate completion of month end, quarter end, year end closing and account reconciliations. o Provide assistant in improvement in areas of “record to report, order to cash/pay. o Assist in accounting of cash management, forecast, financial cost control and assess impact on current year audit engagements. o Meeting deadline for financial closing o Assist accounting in investment transactions and monthly reconciliation. o Perform with the assistance in revenue forecast and accrual. o Demonstrate good understanding in investment types. o Prepare and assist in complex financial closings, tax compliance filings and other business analysis o Prepare and assist compiling the evaluation of complex data, computations, documentation and various tax and accounting software. o Work closely with the Family Office Principle, providing comprehensive accounting duties including bookkeeping, general ledger, reporting (Investment and accounting), tax coordination, and various other accounting and administrative projects Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, • Proven experience in family office or investment accounting preferred., • EA Certification preferred, • 3 to 5+ years of current or recent experience in a public accounting, investment or banking environment, • Experience leading teams and mentoring associates, • Understanding some knowledge of GAAP, GAAS and FASB or IFRS regulations, • Experience with multi-manager funds is a plus, • Ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented and can work independently, • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment, • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, • Knowledge of accounting systems and trade-order management systems would be preferable, • Ability to work on conceptual and analytically., • Strong proficiency using Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, and Power Point, • Excellent communication, integrity, confidentiality, and trustworthiness Responsibilities · Paid Time Off · Paid Holidays · Retirement Plan · Health, Dental and Vision Insurance *Our client does not sponsor visa status.
