A Government Proposal Writer is responsible for developing, writing, and submitting compelling and compliant proposals in response to government solicitations (e.g., Requests for Proposals or RFPs). The writer works with internal teams, subject matter experts (SMEs), and business development staff to produce high-quality, persuasive documents that meet strict deadlines and complex regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: • Analysis and planning: Analyze government solicitations (RFPs, RFQs, etc.) and related documents to understand requirements, evaluation criteria, and deadlines. Develop proposal outlines, compliance matrices, and writing plans., • Content development: Write and edit various proposal sections, such as the executive summary, technical approach, past performance, and management plan. Synthesize complex information from multiple sources into a clear and compelling narrative., • Collaboration: Work with SMEs to gather information and translate technical concepts into persuasive, easy-to-understand language. Coordinate with the contracts and pricing teams to ensure proposal accuracy., • Compliance and quality control: Ensure proposals strictly adhere to all government regulations, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Perform final edits, proofreads, and quality control checks for grammar, consistency, and formatting., • Management and coordination: Manage proposal schedules and deliverables to meet all submission deadlines. Job Description JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title : Entry Writer Location : Rockville Centre, NY, USA Reports to : Brokerage Manager Job summary: This position fulfils an integral role in the timely and efficient running of the Import Customs Brokerage Department. The role requires the successful candidate to be able to work independently and without undue supervision (after training) handling both air and ocean shipments to the New York region and throughout the USA. You will be expected to assist the brokerage manager in the classification of entries. In addition, accounts will be assigned that will need to be handled on an A-Z basis. This includes opening of the files, classification of goods, product coding for FDA goods, transmission of entries, and ability to communicate with airlines/steamship lines and NVOCC’s, issue delivery orders and do ISF for ocean freight shipments. We also expect that you’ll establish a professional working relationship with importer clients.
