Job Description Nurse Supervisor – Internal Medicine & Surgery Location: Brooklyn, NY 11206 Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 Annually (DOE) Job Type: Full-Time Shift: Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Nurse Supervisor / Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to oversee clinical nursing operations within Internal Medicine and Surgical units. This leadership role is responsible for supervising nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care, supporting clinical education, and maintaining compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical expertise, proven leadership experience, and the ability to guide and mentor nursing teams in a fast-paced acute care environment. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily nursing operations within Internal Medicine and Surgical units Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff Monitor patient care delivery to ensure high standards of safety and quality Assist in staffing decisions, workflow planning, and unit resource allocation Act as a clinical role model and mentor for nursing staff Ensure appropriate nursing assessments, interventions, and documentation are completed accurately Support complex patient care planning for medical-surgical populations Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes Address and resolve patient care issues in a timely and effective manner Provide ongoing coaching, training, and performance feedback to nursing staff Support clinical education programs, orientation, and competency assessments Promote professional development and evidence-based nursing practices Foster a culture of continuous learning and clinical excellence Ensure adherence to hospital policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs Monitor compliance with documentation standards and clinical protocols Support audit processes and corrective action plans when necessary Serve as a key liaison between nursing staff, physicians, and hospital leadership Communicate unit needs, staffing concerns, and operational updates to leadership Facilitate effective interdisciplinary collaboration for patient care delivery Requirements Current and Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License Experience in Internal Medicine and/or Surgical Units Required Strong Leadership, Communication, and Team Management Skills Experience with Quality Improvement and Regulatory Compliance Ability to Work Effectively in a Fast-Paced Acute Care Environment Education Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) Required OR Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Required Experience MSN Route Minimum 5 Years of Nursing Experience Minimum 3 Years in a Supervisory or Teaching Role BSN Route Minimum 6 Years of Nursing Experience Minimum 4 Years in a Supervisory or Teaching Role For more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
