Job Description JOB DEFINITION: The Behavioral Health Technician to provide direct service and support as part of a multi-disciplinary team working within a 24-hour, 7 day a week, 365 crisis stabilization program assessing Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or equivalent required. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Six months of related experience required; experience in an acute, psychiatric setting preferred. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Greet and engage with incoming clients., • Assist clients around the ICSC including directing them to the locker rooms, assisting with and laundry., • Help clients participate in recreational activities., • Provide a clean, safe, and comfortable environment by assisting in cleanup after client's treatment rooms and recreational areas., • Ensure the health and safety of staff and clients in emergency situations., • Assess situations to determine importance, urgency/risks, and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organization., • Facilitate sharing of data with the individuals to whom it applies to facilitate partnered decision-making and to keep clients informed of progress, • Complete QI Training during onboarding and participate in QI refresher training as needed., • Ability to cultivate a culture of inclusion for all employees that respects their individual strengths, views and experiences.
