Job Description Uncommon Middle School Science teachers work in grade-level teams to prepare all students with the tools and knowledge to critically engage in the field of science. At the heart of all Science courses is a love for the subject and inquiry-based learning, including a robust focus on student discourse and the science practices. Science teachers employ a variety of instructional strategies to develop a passion for scientific questioning and analysis in their students. Job Description THE ORGANIZATION The Center for Justice Innovation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing community safety and racial justice. Since 1996, we’ve worked alongside communities, courts, and those most directly affected by the justice system to build stronger, healthier, and more equitable neighborhoods. With a team of over 900 staff and an annual budget of $130 million, the Center carries out its mission through three core strategies: • Operating Programs that pilot new ideas and address local challenges;, • Conducting original research to evaluate what works—and what doesn’t; and THE OPPORTUNITY The Bronx Community Justice Center (BxCJC; Justice Center), a program of the Center for Justice Innovation, works to create a safer, more equitable Bronx through community-driven safety initiatives, violence prevention, youth opportunity, and economic development efforts. Underway since 2015, the Mayor's Action Plan for Neighborhood Safety (MAP) is a comprehensive strategy to enhance public safety and strengthen community well-being in 15 public housing developments across New York City. The initiative aims to enhance safety and overall quality of life by strengthening collaboration and capacity among public housing residents. Since 2016, citywide meetings have been convened to share information and data, facilitate community engagement to identify neighborhood priorities, enhance the quality of life and spur collaboration and accountability among city agencies and local stakeholders. The Center for Justice Innovation serves as an implementation partner for NeighborhoodStat. NeighborhoodStat (NSTAT), the operational centerpiece of MAP, is a community-based, problem-solving process grounded in the belief that public safety cannot exist without the public. It is an acknowledgment that safe and thriving neighborhoods require resident leadership, community and government support, and resources to produce sustainable change. To that end, NeighborhoodStat employs a series of local meetings that engage residents and MAP partners in sharing, analyzing, and using data to identify public safety priorities and implementation of solutions. These meetings, the information they generate, and the actions that follow are an essential part of MAP’s strategy to enhance accountability by providing local residents and stakeholders with considerable resources and access to key decision-makers. The Bronx Community Justice Center, in partnership with the Mayor’s Action Plan for Neighborhood Safety (MAP), is seeking a MAP Engagement Coordinator. Reporting to the Associate Director, Community Initiatives, the Coordinator, MAP Engagement Patterson Houses will support residents, community partners and local city agency representatives through the process of identifying and solving issues that create vulnerabilities in community safety and well-being. The MAP Engagement Coordinator will lead the planning and implementation of NeighborhoodStat at Patterson Houses. The MAP Engagement Coordinator is expected to: • Recruit and retain a team of local residents and support building their capacity in policy and placemaking, organizing and advocacy, and other relevant competencies;, • Facilitate the implementation of resident-led community-building projects;, • Work in partnership with the Program Administrators to coordinate city agencies to respond to community needs via all aspects of the NeighborhoodStat process;, • Promote positive cultural norms around behavioral change to maintain community-led public safety; and Organizing and Direct Action: • Recruit and manage a diverse resident team: representative of the development’s diverse subgroups, including religious affiliations, ethnic identities, cultures, languages, age groups, and histories of community organizing and civic engagement;, • Develop and retain a comprehensive engagement plan, with a clear strategy, benchmarks, and outcomes, to create partnerships and gain a solid understanding of key community priorities;, • Attend in-person, teleconference, virtual meetings, and community events, including; precinct council meetings, community board meetings, and Tenant Association meetings;, • Conduct research and engage experts to create meeting and action agenda’s that introduce residents to a variety of interventions strategies and/or frameworks for community organizing and problem-solving;, • Facilitate resident and stakeholder planning meetings that support engagement, problem identification, problem-solving, practice and action steps, and memorialize plans in a centralized, digital platform;, • Lead facilitation of resident team meetings and manage meeting invites, agendas, note taking, and resident task support and execution;, • Plan, lead and co-facilitate public community meetings and direct action organizing activities, as appropriate with MAP Initiative Managers; meet regularly with Initiative Managers to organize and strategize resident action items for MAP Initiative Managers to address with city agencies;, • Co-facilitate and co-organize, with MAP Initiative Managers, city agency, and community partner meetings, and represent resident concerns and proposed solutions;, • Track action steps by recording, consolidating, and sharing meeting notes with key strategic partners; including government partners, NYCHA representatives, local partners, elected officials, team members, and the resident public;, • Host an annual resident-led development-wide community participatory process with support from key organizational staff, and government partners by engaging residents in idea generation and voting; Reporting to the Senior Program Manager of Bronx HOPE, the Peer Specialist will participate in a special project with the HOPE team and the NYPD. They will learn and provide outreach and engagement to community residents, connecting individuals to services and offering support and guidance. In addition, the Peer Specialist will provide and train on how to use Narcan, support the treatment referral process and observe initial assessment to ensure timely and responsive participant engagement and outcomes. Position Summary: We seek an experienced Social Care Navigator to connect vulnerable Medicaid populations living in New York City to needed community-based social supports using an online referral technology platform to track and “close the loop” on referrals. The Social Care Navigator will be responsible for engaging Medicaid members to assess their health-related social needs, confirming eligibility for SCN services and facilitating navigation to needed social supports (prioritizing food, housing and transportation services); all while ensuring access to effective, culturally and linguistically tailored community resources. We're looking for a driven, entrepreneurial Senior Account Executive with a strong ownership mindset. This is one of the most impactful roles at Inspira. As the first point of contact for parents and students exploring our programs, you'll set the tone for their entire experience. The trust, empathy, and expertise you bring to these conversations often become the deciding factors in their choice to work with us. You'll guide them through one of the most meaningful decisions of their lives- investing in their education and future success. What You'll Do • Lead consultative intro calls (inbound) with parents and students to understand their goals, explain the admissions process, and recommend the right Inspira programs and packages based on their needs, • Own the relationship with prospective students and families from first touch through enrollment by building trust, offering guidance, and ensuring a smooth and positive experience throughout their journey, • Follow up strategically and consistently to stay connected with prospects, anticipate questions or concerns, and help them confidently decide to partner with Inspira, • Experiment and innovate—test new scripts, refine messaging, and explore creative follow-up strategies to maximize conversion rates and continuously improve the enrollment experience, • Close deals across a range of programs and services, meeting or exceeding monthly and quarterly sales goals, • Collaborate cross-functionally with the marketing, counseling, and finance teams to ensure seamless handoffs, strong alignment, and an exceptional customer experience, • Stay informed on competitor offerings and market trends; provide real-time feedback to founders and leadership to shape product, pricing, and go-to-market strategy, • Leverage HubSpot CRM to manage the full sales cycle—tracking leads, logging communications, creating email templates, forecasting revenue, and maintaining data integrity across all stages, • Forecast enrollments accurately by managing deal stages, values, and close dates in HubSpot, • Support onboarding and customer success for newly enrolled students to ensure a strong start and high satisfactionWho You Are, • 3–5 years of experience in inbound sales within a service-oriented or consultative environment, ideally with sales cycles under 2–3 months, • Proven success selling premium or high-value service packages (ACV $5,000+), with a track record of exceeding targets and delivering exceptional client experiences, • Excellent communication skills. You're confident presenting, writing, and speaking with clarity, empathy, and professionalism, • Strong CRM proficiency, preferably in HubSpot (or similar tools), with a knack for maintaining clean data and using systems to drive performance, • Comfort with data and reporting, including experience using Excel or Google Sheets to build and interpret dashboards, • Winning Attitude: You find a way to succeed.
