Today our agency continues to address the emotional and physical needs of children and families in Brooklyn, Queens and across Long Island through innovative treatments and life-changing interventions. We provide community-based prevention and family foster care services, group homes in the community for struggling children and families within the child welfare and juvenile justice systems, and short-term residential services for unaccompanied migrant children. Each year, MercyFirst serves more than 3,000 children, teenagers and families overcome enormous obstacles, re-imagine their futures, and develop their full potential. DESCRIPTION: MercyFirst is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic leader with experience in child and family clinical services to serve the Executive Vice President of Integrated Health. The role will report directly to the CEO, is part of the executive leadership team, and will be responsible for the oversight of all MercyFirst medical health and behavioral health services and programs in alignment with Medicaid Managed Care requirements and evidence-based, best practices. These programs include Medicaid 29-I services to child welfare programs as well as Care Management/Health Homes and Clinical Support Program. Additionally, the EVP of Integrated health will be responsible for the integration of these critical functions across the agency, as well as the development of new initiatives in partnership with the executive leadership team. The position will serve as a lead partner in the implementation of the Electric Health Record (EHR) software and will provide direct supervision and work closely with our Medical Director and Clinical Director. This person will work collaboratively with the CEO and the Executive Vice President of Performance and Quality Improvement to implement a data driven work culture and meet service, data, and financial objectives. A minimum of 10 years of experience, as well as in-depth knowledge of child and family services that align with these goals are required. This mis a hybrid position and will require regular travel to Brooklyn, Queens and Syosset, Long Island, as needed. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • LMSW or Nurse Practitioner preferred., • Master’s degree or higher in social/human/health services or related field required., • Minimum of 10 years progressive management and clinical/health experience, as well as in-depth knowledge of child and family services., • Strong communication and collaboration skills; results and decisive orientation; demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills; unifying and winning personality. RESPONSIBILITIES: • As a member of the executive leadership team, define and achieve agency objectives in collaboration with the CEO and executive leadership. Report directly to CEO., • Oversee MercyFirst medical health and behavioral health services and programs, including Medicaid 29-I services to child welfare programs as well as Care Management/Health Homes and Clinical Support Programs, in alignment with Medicaid Managed Care requirements and evidence-based, best practices., • Provide direct supervision of agency’s Medical Director and Clinical Director and oversee 24/7 crisis support client response needed., • In coordination with internal and external stakeholders, ensure that all clinical and medical protocols and clinical and medical delivery are in full compliance with all Medicaid regulations and other regulatory and funding sources., • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders including Medicaid Managed Care providers, social services entities, professional associations and government oversight entities (including but not limited to NY State Department of Health, NYC Administration of Children’s Services, Collaborative for Children & Families (CCF), and Council of Family and Child Caring Agencies (COFCCA))., • Engage with internal and external strategic partners to develop and implement innovative behavioral and medical health programs to continue to meet evolving clients’ needs., • Remain current on emerging models in integrated health delivery, as well as 29-I/Medicaid/CFTSS and other state and/or federal legislative and regulatory requirements that may impact our services or our clients., • Implement a shared and unrelenting focus on integrated health quality improvement, efficiency, effectiveness and accountability, developing workflow, systems and full utilization of the HER to achieve this goal., • Work closely with finance team to create and manage balanced integrated health budgets, and to review billing and receivables in the pursuit of full revenue maximization., • Continue to grow Care Management/Health Homes to ensure the program is fully integrated within the agency., • Other duties as required to advance the agency’s mission.
