Job Description Payroll Analyst Location: Jamaica, Queens, NY Salary Range: $90,000 – $110,000 Job Summary A healthcare organization based in Jamaica, Queens is seeking a skilled Payroll Analyst to manage, process, and analyze payroll data. This role is responsible for ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with payroll regulations, tax laws, and internal controls. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced with high-volume payroll processing. Key Responsibilities • Collect, review, and verify employee timekeeping data, • Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and leave adjustments, • Process payroll accurately and on schedule using ADP, • Manage payroll taxes, deductions, and withholdings in compliance with applicable laws, • Initiate payroll payments via direct deposit or check, • Maintain and update payroll records, including rate changes and employee status updates, • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries, • Prepare payroll reports and analyses for management, • Stay current on changes in payroll tax and labor regulations, • 3–5 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a healthcare or regulated environment, • Proven experience as a Payroll Analyst or similar payroll-focused role, • Strong knowledge of payroll processes, labor laws, and tax regulations, • Hands-on experience with ADP payroll systems (required), • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools, • Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, • Strong attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality, • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field Company DescriptionThe Bachrach Group (TBG) is a New York-based staffing and recruiting agency founded in 1974 by Richard Bachrach. As a Senior Financial Planning Analyst, you will play a critical role in helping the company achieve its financial objectives by developing and analyzing financial models and budgets. You will work closely with various departments and stakeholders to provide financial insights, reports, recommendations, and solutions to complex business problems. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Responsibilities • Lead the financial planning and analysis process, including budgeting and long-term financial modeling. Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning, scenario analysis, and decision-making., • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to assess business performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations to optimize financial results. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and highlight areas for improvement., • Process weekly, monthly and quarterly financial reports, which will be used by management to help facilitate business decisions., • Provide valuable insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis and data-driven insights. Assist in the development and evaluation of strategic initiatives, business cases, and investment opportunities., • Collaborate with accounting team to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data., • Partner with cross-functional teams to analyze and optimize costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support the development of cost reduction strategies., • Collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and finance team members. Clearly communicate complex financial information and present findings to non-financial stakeholders in a concise and understandable manner., • Continuously evaluate and enhance financial planning and analysis processes to streamline workflows, improve data accuracy, and enhance reporting capabilities. Implement best practices and leverage technology tools to drive efficiency and effectiveness., • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or advanced finance degree is a plus., • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a corporate environment., • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to work with large datasets., • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and financial analysis tools., • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards., • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications. Knowledge of ERP systems; Sage 100 is a plus., • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders., • Strong business acumen and the ability to think strategically while maintaining a focus on execution and results., • Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
