Job DescriptionJob Title: Class B CDL DriverJob Description We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class B Driver to support local delivery operations throughout New York, Pennsylvania, and surrounding service areas. This individual will be responsible for the safe operation of a Class B commercial vehicle, timely delivery of customer orders, proper use of delivery equipment, and maintaining high standards of professionalism and safety. Responsibilities • Operate a Class B diesel-powered truck safely and efficiently., • Complete scheduled deliveries to residential locations, showrooms, warehouses, loading docks, curbside locations, and garages when required., • Plan and manage daily delivery routes to maximize efficiency while maintaining safety., • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections., • Monitor vehicle condition, including DEF levels, and report maintenance or safety concerns immediately., • Utilize liftgates and electric pallet jacks during loading and unloading activities., • Navigate throughout Brooklyn, Hudson Valley, Upstate New York, Spring Valley, Monsey, Pennsylvania, and surrounding regions., • Communicate proactively with management regarding delivery delays, traffic issues, or equipment concerns., • Maintain a clean, organized truck and demonstrate ownership of assigned equipment., • Deliver exceptional customer service while representing the company professionally., • Follow all DOT regulations and company safety requirements.Essential Skills, • Class B Commercial Driving Experience., • Hands-on experience operating Class B commercial trucks., • Comfortable driving throughout urban, suburban, and highway environments., • Ability to safely maneuver in congested areas, tight loading zones, and construction zones., • Safe Driving Record & DOT Compliance., • Clean and responsible driving history over the past 7-10 years preferred., • No major moving violations, reckless driving incidents, or DUI/DWI offenses., • Knowledge of and adherence to DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards., • Completion of pre-trip and post-trip inspections., • Route Planning & Delivery Efficiency., • Ability to independently review daily routes and organize deliveries efficiently., • Experience navigating traffic, road closures, and delivery constraints., • Strong decision-making skills regarding commercial truck routing and scheduling., • Effective communication regarding delays or delivery issues., • Liftgate & Electric Pallet Jack Operation., • Experience safely operating truck liftgates during loading and unloading., • Proficiency using electric pallet jacks to transport pallets at customer locations., • Ability to work safely on loading docks, ramps, and uneven surfaces., • Diesel Truck & DEF Knowledge., • Experience operating diesel-powered commercial vehicles., • Knowledge of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), monitoring DEF levels, and recognizing DEF-related alerts., • Ability to perform basic daily vehicle inspections and identify/report equipment issues.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Valid Class B CDL., • Experience driving diesel-powered commercial vehicles., • Experience operating liftgates and electric pallet jacks., • Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and DOT compliance., • Ability to work independently without constant supervision., • Excellent attendance, punctuality, and reliability., • Familiarity with New York and Pennsylvania delivery routes., • Experience with residential and showroom deliveries., • Knowledge of local traffic patterns and commercial vehicle routing restrictions.Why Work Here? Work Environment The position requires a Monday through Friday schedule, from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Occasional travel through Manhattan may occur, though regular deliveries into Manhattan are not expected. The environment includes roads, highways, customer sites, warehouses, loading docks, residential locations, and showroom deliveries. The role requires frequent loading and unloading activities using liftgates and electric pallet jacks. The driver must be available for the full scheduled workday and complete all assigned deliveries. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Edison, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $52000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
