Job Description SPORTIME owns and operates 17 tennis, pickleball, sports, camp and fitness clubs across NYS, including sites across Long Island, in Westchester, Manhattan, the Capital Region and New Jersey. Several of these locations currently feature both dedicated and/or “blended” pickleball courts, and offer court-time, instruction and related programs. SPORTIME is in the active process of creating and scaling its new pickleball division, the purpose of which is to own or lease, and operate, dedicated indoor and outdoor pickleball sites in our current markets and in others nearby. JOB SUMMARY Provide effective and successful club management through strategic planning, customer service, staff supervision and support, physical plant oversight and fiscal control. LOCATION: SPORTIME Pickleball Westbury RESPONSIBILITES: Customer Service • Provide pickleball players and members with the highest level of customer service., • Assist players in learning company technology, including website and mobile app, in order to make it easy to rent courts and sign up for pickleball programs., • Recruit, train and supervise key staff members., • Ensure that all employees comply with SPORTIME Policies/Procedures regarding safety, security, and code of conduct guidelines., • Perform annual reviews, corrective interviews as necessary, deliver consistent feedback, including positive reinforcement and share areas of growth opportunities., • Conduct weekly staff meetings to provide updates, discuss strategic planning and ensure open communication between all departments., • Work closely with the marketing team to promote pickleball programs and services to existing players and to the surrounding communities., • Communicate with players/members on a regular basis to promote upcoming events, programs and opportunities to play., • Ensure that high traffic areas provide players with information about future opportunities to play., • Perform daily facility inspections to ensure all playing and non-playing areas are safe and ready for use., • Provide supervision of maintenance and housekeeping staff members to ensure the facility is clean at all times., • Produce daily punch lists and work closely with the Director of Maintenance to ensure maintenance and housekeeping issues are handled promptly and effectively., • Maximize pickleball court occupancy and revenue per court., • Meet or exceed budgetary expectations., • Manage expenses effectively while maintaining the highest quality member experience., • Ensure accuracy of daily appointments, transactions and deposits., • Ensure accuracy of membership and program billing and usage reports., • Review and analyze sales, membership, usage, payroll and aged receivables reports regularly., • Approve any purchases, code all bills to general ledger accounts and submit payroll weekly. REQUIREMENTS and KSA’s: • Previous management experience in a fitness or sports related environment, including the supervision of at least 3 or more employees., • Knowledge of pickleball is preferred., • Strong interpersonal communication skills, including ability to give clear and direct feedback and mentoring for continuous improvement., • Excellent computer skills, • Ability to communicate information clearly, both verbally and in writing., • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure, • Ability to maintain a professional composure in difficult situations, • Ability to maintain confidentiality, • Ability to work with little oversight, • Ability to interface with multiple levels of leadership, • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of timeCOMPENSATION: $85,000 per year plus on-court earnings potential and bonus incentives SCHEDULE: Full-time, weeknights and weekend availability BENEFITS: Member benefits- Employees receive complimentary Sportime membership and are eligible to use club facilities, including tennis, fitness and sports, to participate in club programs on a complimentary or discounted basis, and to receive discounts on retail and other purchases. Health, dental and vision insurance - Full-Time employees are eligible to enroll in Sportime’s group health, dental and vision insurance plans on the first day of the month after they have worked 60 days. Premiums are deducted pre-tax from employees’ gross pay; Sportime contributes to the premiums of employees based upon gross pay thresholds. 401k Plan with employer match – Employees are eligible to enroll in Sportime’s 401k retirement plan, with matching, after they have completed one year of continuous service, worked at least 1000 hours in such calendar or anniversary year, and are over 21 years old.
