WORK SCHEDULE * 9-15 hours per week. * Monday through Friday -- 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS * Motivate students to be active daily. * Ensure daily activity lesson plans and projects are structured, age-appropriate, and have clear learning goals based on the provided sports and physical activity guide. * Maintain communication with the Program Director and Center for Sports and Wellness regarding the calendar of programs, leagues, tournaments, and special events. * Motivate and encourage students to participate in organization-wide sports activities. * Establish and enforce safety rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among the students for whom they are responsible. * Instruct participants on the activities' principles, techniques, and safety procedures and show how to use materials and equipment properly. * Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those objectives to students. * Prepare facilities for group activities. * Evaluate activities to determine if they are producing the desired results. * Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' needs and interests. * Promote and ensure the progressive development of student skills * Promotes positive character development in all youth * Most New York Edge Basketball Specialists are expected to provide support during Academic hours. * Adapt each activity to ensure safe participation in the space provided. Job Description Client Care Coordinator Supervisor PRIMARY FUNCTION/PURPOSE: Supervise the delivery of services provided by Client Care Coordinators (Social Workers) to enhance existing services to homeless families. This includes the completion of a thorough assessment, and the development and completion of a bio-psychosocial for each family upon intake, crisis intervention, counseling, client advocacy, and referrals to government and/or community-based resources. If needed, this individual will ensure that recommendations of achievable goals be implemented on each family’s service plan, leading to permanent housing, and strengthening the overall permanency outcome for clients in shelter. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New York upon hire or within three (3) months of hire, • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in social services, counseling, crisis intervention, family services, preventive services, housing services, or homeless services, • At least two years of supervisory experience in social services, counseling, About the Role The Home+ Program Supervisor provides leadership and oversight to the Home+ case management and coordination teams across Harlem and Jamaica, Queens. Home+ is a critical initiative in partnership with the Mayor’s Office to End Domestic and Gender-Based Violence (ENDGBV), designed to reduce housing instability by providing survivors of DV/GBV with flexible funding, security resources, trauma-informed case management, and access to community-based support. This position will work between both Harlem and Queens locations, ensuring consistency, quality, and fidelity to the Home+ model, while uplifting anti-oppressive, survivor-centered, and healing-centered practices. What You’ll Do · Supervise Home+ Coordinators and Case Managers across Harlem and Queens boroughs. · Provide reflective supervision, coaching, and support rooted in trauma-informed and anti-oppressive frameworks. · Lead weekly team meetings, case conferences, and ensure staff are equipped with the tools and resources needed to provide high-quality, survivor-centered care. · Support staff with crisis intervention, ethical decision-making, and cross-systems advocacy. · Cultivate a team culture that values healing, accountability, racial equity, and restorative practice. Job Description Reporting Relationships: Program Director reports to the Program Coordinator. Job DescriptionPRIMARY FUNCTION/PURPOSE: The Shift/Safety Supervisor is directly responsible for the management and supervision of the Safety Monitors on duty on their assigned shift. Monitors all activities to ensure safety in the physical plant and civility amongst clients, visitors and staff. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Supervises Safety Monitors and ensures all safety and security duties are performed as per agency protocol., • Conducts fire drills and documents results., • Responds to incidents and follows DHS and agency protocols in responding to and documenting incidents., • Reports incidents of Child Abuse to the state Central Registry., • Interacts with HERO and provides updates on unit vacancies and occupancies.
