SkillBridge Data Center Technician Role: The SkillBridge Data Center Technician assists in the operational integrity, security, and regulatory compliance of the data center. The technician will gain working knowledge of data center operations including telecommunications, mechanical, electrical, and fire life safety systems as well as data center operating procedures. The technician will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the data center including facilities and telecommunication infrastructure. The responsibilities are wide ranging and multi-disciplinary. Mechanical responsibilities will include working on chilled water systems and components, HVAC systems such as roof top units, CRAC/CRAH units, humidification systems, and central plant operations. Electrical responsibilities will include working on electrical/critical power distribution from the Utility/Generator main switchgear through the UPS systems out to the customer load including power circuit installations. Fire Life Safety responsibilities will include monitoring wet sprinkler systems and pre-action sprinkler systems as well as their associated detection devices. Telecommunications responsibilities will include cross connect installations, cabling infrastructure management, advanced remote hands support, and customer cage and cabinet build outs. Other responsibilities will include customer infrastructure build-outs (cage builds, overhead installations, rack and stack), cable termination and testing, maintenance work, monitoring and responding to mechanical, electrical, fire protection, telecom, and security systems. These systems include, transformers, PLC’s, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, STS’, ATS’ PDU’s, chilled water systems, CRAC/CRAH, wet sprinkler systems and pre-action sprinkler, network equipment, transmission media, cabling infrastructure, security hardware, and CCTV. Duties: • Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in facilities systems. Engineer Role: As a member of the company’s Engineering team, the Data Center Design & Performance Engineer is responsible for designing and reviewing electrical, mechanical, and site plans. This role requires making independent decisions and consistently exercising sound judgment to ensure alignment with CoreSite’s design standards. A strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, particularly in relation to data center redundancy and operations, is essential. The Engineer will collaborate closely with facility and operations teams to ensure all equipment installations are thoroughly reviewed and meet CoreSite's build standards. Duties: • Evaluate the efficiency, reliability, and engineering design of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire and life-safety, and building management systems for expansion and upgrade projects, • Define the scope for testing and commissioning to ensure design intent and operability of systems supporting the data centers, • Provide final quality assurance sign-off for engineered systems at the end of construction, • Collaborate with Sales Engineering to design custom engineering solutions for customer deployments, • Support the sales process for complex opportunities by providing technical expertise, • Assess installed systems to optimize efficiency and reliability, • Review and approve engineering modifications to existing facilities, • Provide engineering support to Data Center Operations, including failure analysis and system maintenance of critical infrastructure, • Ensure quality control for Operations teams, focusing on equipment, safety, and maintenance best practices, • Support commissioning activities by reviewing test scripts and witnessing test performance, • Maintain up-to-date documentation related to design, procurement, and operational standards, • Special projects as assigned Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: • Ability to work 40% on-site from an approved CoreSite Market and 60% remotely from that same market, with flexibility to adjust onsite expectations as business needs evolve, • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time to support testing and construction activities, with flexibility to adjust travel commitments as business needs evolve. Saint James Health Community Health Center (SJH) offers comprehensive, community-based, preventive, primary care, and wellness services for New Jersey residents of all ages at three convenient locations in Newark, NJ. Health care services are designed to meet the specific needs of the entire family - from annual check-ups and immunizations to sick visits and mental health counseling. The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is responsible for the implementation of the Social Work Department Strategic Plan. The LCSW will work in an environment that supports clinical excellence and competency through multi-disciplinary teamwork and collaboration.
