We are currently seeking a Project Manager for an established Electrical Contractor with an office in Franklin Square and high-end electrical construction projects based in Manhattan. The right candidate must be able to commute to both locations as needed. Job Description Position Summary: Collins Building Services (CBS) is seeking an experienced, highly organized Building Manager to oversee daily facilities operations for a portfolio of 11 academic buildings in a college campus setting. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of service, safety, and efficiency across janitorial and trades functions. The Building Manager will serve as the primary liaison between CBS and campus departments and will work closely with union staff, vendors, engineering, and key university stakeholders. The building Assistant Superintendent will carry out assigned duties in a safe manner and other duties as requested by the Superintendent and/or Property Management personnel. Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities: A building Superintendent must possess a variety of skills encompassing most of the construction trades, including: basic skills as an electrician, carpenter, plumber, mechanic, painter, HVAC technician and roofer, as well as being able to perform all the responsibilities of a porter, should the situation warrant. The building Superintendent must always remain aware of their limitations and request the services of a professional when the worker’s lack of expertise requires it.
