Apply now to make a difference in emergency healthcare while exploring Johnson City, NY! • Location: Johnson City, NY 13790 (Southern Tier, New York healthcare jobs), • Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse, • Unit: Main Tower Emergency Department, • Start Date: December 22, 2025, • End Date: March 21, 2026, • Duration: 13-week contract, • Shift: 12-hour nights, 48 hours per week, every other weekend required, • Guaranteed Hours: 48 per week, • Estimated Weekly Salary: $2100-$2250, • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred, • Active New York State Registered Nurse License (RN License – NY), • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross), • Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience, • Previous travel nurse experience required, • Strong clinical skills in trauma, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, and pediatric emergency care, • Excellent communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, • Professional certification in emergency nursing (CEN) or related specialty preferred, • Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency patients, • Serve as primary or accountable nurse for assigned patient groups, • Educate patients and families on health promotion and disease management, • Administer medications safely and demonstrate strong pharmacology knowledge, • Ensure compliance with nursing standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements, • Participate in unit councils, quality improvement initiatives, and peer review, • Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education for ER nurses, • Integrate evidence-based nursing research into clinical practice, • Support onboarding and training for new staff and nursing students Planet Healthcare Job ID #439382.
