Job DescriptionJob Title: CNC Laser Operator - 2nd ShiftJob Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Laser Operator to perform all activities related to operating a CNC Laser cutting machine. This includes set-ups, troubleshooting, and machine maintenance. Responsibilities • Utilize proper personal protective equipment., • Set up and operate the CNC Laser machine., • Select material based on paperwork requirements such as type, size, thickness, and grade., • Load materials into the machine manually or using an electric hoist., • Set up the machine for optimal cutting efficiency based on material type, thickness, and grade., • Ensure parts are cut according to production orders or other documentation., • Transfer materials to and from raw material inventory regularly., • Document all parts and material drop-offs with heat numbers for traceability., • Operate the machine cautiously to prevent damages., • Perform routine maintenance on the machine., • Inspect or measure work using rules, gauges, and templates., • Maintain a safe workspace free of dangerous obstacles., • Keep daily time records., • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications, and shop orders to determine machine setup, production methods, and sequence of operation.Essential Skills, • Proficiency in CNC Laser cutting., • Troubleshooting and machine maintenance., • Ability to read blueprints and engineering specifications.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • High School or GED Diploma., • Ability to read, write, and comprehend general instructions., • Experience with laser operation preferred., • Vocational training in lieu of experience is considered., • Basic computer knowledge., • Experience with CNC Programming and/or sheet metal operations is a plus.
