As a strategic planning analyst in the Funding Strategy and Operations practice area, you will collaborate with team members to conceptualize, deliver, and provide support to our clients through today's ever-changing healthcare landscape. NYSTEC has consulted on some of the largest Medicaid initiatives and served in various roles across a multitude of New York State healthcare technology systems. Serving as a strategic planning analyst, your day-to-day role as a NYSTEC consultant will include working as part of a collaborative team to advise clients seeking federal funding for healthcare technology projects. You will manage the process of developing a funding request, draft the funding request using input from different stakeholders, contribute to solving complex problems as they arise, identify risks and issues, and present information clearly and concisely to inform team and client decisions. • Identify, analyze, and apply relevant environmental factors to define and assess options and help make recommendations to clients on an overall federal funding strategy and plan. Environmental factors will include legislation, policies, and guidance; existing and planned New York State (NYS) healthcare technology initiatives; and initiatives from other states., • Facilitate client and stakeholder meetings to present federal guidance and impacts on the current federal funding strategy, gather input for and feedback on draft funding requests, and assist the team with developing approaches for the client on how to maximize and plan for maintaining their federal funding over the long term., • Draft and review funding requests, including narrative, budget, and schedule, in addition to other necessary compliance documents., • Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, critical thinking, and analytical skills., • Experience with managing projects involving multiple stakeholders and strict deadlines., • Ability to understand scope and budgetary requirements., • Ability to research and summarize regulations, legislation, policies, and other state/federal guidance., • Ability to develop and manage effective relationships with colleagues and clients through collaborative thinking and a strong customer focus., • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of tools., • Experience interacting with executive-level management and presenting information in a way that is relevant to different audiences., • Experience with New York State Medicaid and healthcare technology projects., • Familiarity with grant writing, advance planning documents, and/or the acquiring federal funding to support health and human services., • A bachelor's degree and three years of experience in public health preferred or a related field of study.
