Clinical Director of Patient Care The Director of Patient Care (PCD) will collaborate with the Nursing Education Department and utilize subject-matter experts as appropriate to assist with staff education, clinical issues, and orientation development. He/she will support the learning and assimilation of all newly hired clinical staff within the department through weekly meetings. The PCD is accountable for the acute care environment and must create learning experiences that are open, respectful and promote the sharing of expertise. This ability to enhance the practice environment is critical to the recruitment and retention of all staff. Renders aerosol medications and treatments to patients for inhalation, and positions patients to assist in breathing and prevent lung obstruction., 3. Determines most suitable method of administering inhalants, precautions to be observed, and modifications that may be needed, which will be compatible with physician's orders., 4. Sets up and operates devices, such as mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators to support respiration and maintain patient's oxygen supply., 5. Operates equipment to ensure specified parameters of treatment, such as volume, gas concentration, humidity, and temperature, and to administer medicinal gases and aerosol drugs to patients., 6. Monitors patient's physiological responses to therapy, such as vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry changes., 7. Performs chest physiotherapy on patient to remove mucus from their lungs and make it easier for them to breathe and assists patient in performing breathing exercises., 8. Assists in the performance of diagnostic testing by performing pulmonary function tests to be used by physician in diagnosis of case., 9. Observes equipment function and adjusts equipment to obtain optimum results to therapy., 10. Consults with physician in event of adverse reactions., 11. Maintains patient's chart that contains pertinent identification and therapy information. Inspects and tests respiratory therapy equipment to ensure equipment is functioning safely and efficiently, and orders repairs when needed., 12. Provides patient education and support for patients suffering from chronic lung disease., 13. Demonstrates respiratory care procedures to trainees and other health care personnel., 14. May care for premature infants with underdeveloped pulmonary systems, the elderly who have increased susceptibility to pulmonary and cardiac disease, and trauma patients., 15. Other related duties as assigned Education: • Associate of Science degree from an accredited respiratory therapist program, required., • 1+ years of Respiratory Care experience, • Critical care experience, highly preferred., • Previous experience with PFT studies and cardiopulmonary testing, highly preferred., • Active license for Respiratory Therapy in New Jersey, required. Responsibilities: • Performs routine maintenance on loader such as lubricating, fueling and cleaning., • Completes inspection report prior to using equipment., • Safely operate machinery under the direction of the shift supervisor or production manager. Responsibilities include the design projects in water and wastewater treatment facility, and linear infrastructure, as well as pumping stations and condition assessments, as well as field inspections, as required. Responsibilities • Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, reports, and bid packages., • Conduct construction observation for municipal infrastructure projects (e.g., sewer, storm drain, water)., • Ensure contractor compliance with design drawings and specifications., • Perform quantity measurements, review shop drawings, and prepare daily field reports., • Coordinate with municipal staff, residents, and other stakeholders., • Bachelor’s degree in either Civil or Environmental Engineering field is required., • 2 - 4 years of related experience is preferred., • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is preferred with the goal to obtain a Professional Engineer’s (P.E.) License., • Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is required., • Detail-oriented with a strong command of design principles and the ability to develop neat and accurate design calculations., • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, writing, and verbal communication skills are required., • Ability to work with peers and senior management and be a team player.
