Epic System Analyst (Rehab) • The Clinical Systems Analyst - Rehab will be responsible for implementing/developing Epic and related applications., • This position will develop, implement, manage and provide ongoing support for clinical information systems., • Will proactively increase knowledge of Epic EHR software, health system operations and will work with the Epic project team to translate business needs into EHR functionality., • Will analyze procedures and problems, report findings and make recommendations for resolutions. Position Overview The Commercial Lines Account Manager will play an integral role in driving our mission to deliver excellence in client management and retention. Job Description Onsite Epic Billing Analyst to work in Hicksville, NY onsite. An Epic Billing Analyst is a healthcare IT professional specializing in the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system, focusing specifically on billing and revenue cycle functions. Must be Epic certified with experience with revenue cycle processes, clinical workflows, data analysis and training. Key responsibilities • System Configuration and Optimization: Configure and maintain Epic's Resolute Professional Billing or Hospital Billing module to manage charges, benefit engines, claims, and payment processors., • Workflow Analysis and Improvement: Analyze workflows, data collection, and report details to identify areas for improvement and implement application solutions., • Support and Troubleshooting: Act as a primary support contact for end-users, resolving application issues and providing technical assistance., • Implementation and Upgrades: Lead or participate in the implementation of new systems or features, support system upgrades, and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ICD-10)., • Collaboration and Communication: Liaise between the IT department, billing office, finance, and other stakeholders to tailor systems to meet organizational needs., • Testing and Documentation: Design, build, test, and document system changes and workflows., • Reporting and Data Analysis: Develop and generate reports to extract and analyze healthcare data., • Training: Collaborate with trainers on application changes and new features to develop training materials and strategies., • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of Epic's Resolute Professional Billing or Hospital Billing modules, including charge router, work queue configuration, collection agency workflows, statement processing, and claims processing operations., • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex issues, troubleshoot problems, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions., • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders, including IT teams, clinicians, billing staff, and vendors., • Project Management Skills: Ability to lead meetings, prioritize tasks, resolve conflicts, maintain issue lists, and manage project plans., • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to documentation, system configuration, and data integrity., • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field is typically required. An Associate's degree with equivalent work experience may also be considered., • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in supporting healthcare information systems, particularly in a hospital billing environment, is required. Experience with Epic or similar healthcare applications is beneficial., • Certification: Epic certification in relevant modules, such as Resolute Hospital Billing (HB) or Professional Billing (PB). Obtaining certification within a certain timeframe (e.g., six months of employment) may also be a requirement., • An Epic Billing Analyst position can be an entry point into various healthcare IT careers., • Experienced analysts can advance to roles like Epic Project Manager, Clinical Informatics Specialist, or even Chief Information Officer (CIO) positions.
