Because of rapid expansion of the organization the following opportunity is currently available: Paralegal We are looking for a self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented person to join our progressive, innovative, and growing elder law department of nine attorneys and a great team of paralegals. You must have 3-5 years Medicaid experience, be articulate, comfortable with extensive client contact and possess strong writing skills Job Duties Primary responsibility to the preparation and submission of application seeking Medicaid coverage for home care or nursing home services under the supervision of an attorney. A basic familiarity with estate planning process, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and living wills required. Must have at least 3 years experience working in an Estate Department/Elder Law. Primary responsibility will be the preparation of Surrogate's Court petitions and related documents for the Probate or Administration of an Estate. Heavy client contact will be required to assist the attorneys in the department represent our clients in Estate Administration, Estate Planning and Elder Law matters. Additional responsibilities may include the preparation of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care proxies, other Surrogate's Court petitions, and guardianship applications.
