Job Purpose: Transport and deliver mobile medical units to hospitals and clinics by operating a tractor/trailer truck. These trailer are 50 foot long, many use a 10ft spread axle application. Trailer weights range 45-60K LBS. Our drivers are responsible for preparing the trailer for travel, safety transporting it to its next destination and setting up the trailer for scanning use (very much like an RV or camping trailer). Job Description Summary: The Criminal Court program provides a safe reception center and various services to assist survivors and victims of crime navigate through the Criminal Court. The program provides counseling, crisis intervention, case management services, advocacy, information and referrals and practical assistance to survivors and victims of crime with an overall goal of promoting survivor safety and reducing the impact of victimization. The Coordinator is responsible for providing holistic support services to victims of all crimes. This included counseling and crisis intervention to assess the needs of victims and to help with the development of safety plans to address immediate risks and concerns. This plan may include the provision of in-person or telephone counseling; emergency assistance such as money for transportation; assistance with an Office of Victim Services (OVS) application; providing information and referrals, and follow-up services; and providing assistance with obtaining an order of protection, restitution, and other criminal justice remedies. This position reports to the Director of Life University RESPONSIBILITIES: The Falls Prevention Trainer is responsible for implementing PSSs Building Balance for Improved Falls Prevention in NYC and Surrounding Boroughs initiative by delivering group classes and workshops using evidence-based curricula such as A Matter of Balance, Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention, and Stepping On.
