About the Opportunity The Behavioral Health Services and Support Intern will assist with programs and projects as assigned by leadership. This role is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of Behavioral Health, working with a variety of members and learning from experienced professionals. This includes, but is not limited to, collaborating with Behavioral Health, Physical Health, Pharmacy, Quality Management, Network, and other support staff to ensure the smooth delivery of services to MVP Health Care's members. This internship will be well-integrated into the many departments of Behavioral Health Managed Care, including Utilization Management, Case Management and Quality Management. The intern will also gain experience with the development of Behavioral Health interventions, Regulatory Committee preparation, training documents and many other key areas. Skills and Experience * Education, Licensures, & Certifications * Currently enrolled in a degree program related to healthcare, public health, or a related field * Required Job Skills * Strong ethical skills * Excellent organizational, interpersonal skills, empathy, and effective listening abilities. * Highly organized and able to work independently. * Interest in working with diverse populations and learning more about the social sciences/ human services and/or managed care industry. * Interest in supporting and being the difference for MVP members * Proficiency in Microsoft suite * Curiosity to foster innovation and pave the way for growth * Humility to play as a team * Commitment to being the difference for our customers in every interaction What You'll Do * Referral Support: Supporting the clinical team with referral assistance including connecting members to care. * Documentation and Reporting: Supporting Behavioral Health staff in identifying Behavioral Health trends within the membership * With this task, the intern will get to be instrumental in helping to identify member needs and come up with supportive interventions. * Compliance: Assist in preparation of materials for regulatory activities. * Outreach and Coordination: Conduct outreach calls, schedule appointments, and follow up with members. Collaborate with the provider network and determine appointment availability to support both the MVP membership and Case and Utilization Managers. * Outreaching members who utilize Behavioral Health services to encourage attendance at the Behavioral Health Advisory Committee * This includes the opportunity to attend the Behavioral Health Advisory Committee in July if available. * Responsible for the support of department programs and projects as assigned by leadership. * Contribute to our humble pursuit of excellence by performing various responsibilities that may arise, reflecting our collective goal of enhancing healthcare delivery and being the difference for the customer. Where you'll be: Location: Hybrid Pay Transparency MVP Health Care is committed to providing competitive employee compensation and benefits packages. The base pay range provided for this role reflects our good faith compensation estimate at the time of posting. MVP adheres to pay transparency nondiscrimination principles.
