Our primary practice groups offer legal services in real estate transactions; estate planning and administration; business formation and advisory services. We are seeking a skilled, and motived attorney to join our team and contribute to our mission. Job Summary: We are seeking a hard-working and motivated attorney to handle a wide range of trusts, estate and elder law matters. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to draft wills, trusts and other estate planning documents; oversee the administration of probate and trust administration; and provide counsel on elder law issues such as Medicaid, guardianship, and long-term care options. This role requires a deep understanding of New York State and federal laws, and a commitment to advocating for the client’s best interest in a compassionate way. Key Responsibilities: • Draft, review and finalize estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney and healthcare proxies., • Provide legal advice and oversee probate and trust administration, including preparing court filings, inventories and accountings. Court appearances as needed., • Assist clients with elder law matters, including Medicaid eligibility, asset protection, and guardianship proceedings., • Conduct client consultations to assess needs and develop personalized legal strategies., • Stay current on relevant NYS and federal laws, regulations, and case law, including tax laws and tax-related planning techniques., • Collaborate with paralegals and other attorneys to ensure seamless case management., • Represent clients in court or administrative proceedings as needed. Basic Qualifications: • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school., • Active license, in good standing, to practice law in New York State., • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in trusts and estates and elder law. That said, we are willing to train the right candidate who has less experience., • Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills., • Compassionate and client-centered approach to legal practice. Commitment to a positive client experience., • Ability to manage a diverse caseload with attention to detail and deadlines., • Experience with estate tax planning matters is a plus. About the Role: Full-Time | Growth Opportunity Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Title Closing Coordinator to join our team. This role is pivotal in managing the closing process from start to finish, including title procedures, ordering searches, and handling post-closing escrow activities. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable about New York title processes. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare and review closing documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulations. * Order and review title searches, liens, and other necessary documents for real estate transactions. * Manage post-closing escrow procedures, including disbursements, recording, and final documentation. * Maintain accurate records and ensure all files are complete and compliant with company standards. * Assist with resolving title issues and discrepancies as they arise. * Support other team members and participate in process improvement initiatives. Qualifications: * 1-2 years of experience in title coordination or a similar role, preferably in New York. * Strong understanding of title procedures, searches, and escrow processes. * Excellent organizational and communication skills. * Ability to handle multiple transactions simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy. * Detail-oriented and capable of problem-solving under tight deadlines.
