Full workdays include two paid 15-minute breaks and an unpaid half hour lunch break. Half-days include one paid 15-minute break. There are frequent opportunities for overtime at 1.5X pay. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic team at Unilux Advanced Manufacturing. We are an ASME Section I, IV and VIII Code Shop building boilers and pressure vessels. The ideal candidate will have experience in various welding techniques and a strong understanding of ASME fabrication processes. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and construction of boilers, pressure vessels and components. Your expertise will help us produce high-quality boilers and pressure vessels that meet strict industry standards, customer specifications and company standards. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, SAW, GTAW welding on various materials including plate and pipe., • Read and interpret drawings to determine project specifications., • Preform high-quality quality welding and fabrication tasks to ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards., • Operate forklifts and cranes safely to transport materials., • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards., • 3 years ASME code welding experience minimum., • Proven experience in welding techniques including SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, SAW, GTAW processes., • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions., • Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements and material requirements., • Knowledge of fabrication processes., • Understanding of rigging principles for safe material handling., • Follow blueprints, specifications, diagrams, and schematics to build boilers and pressure vessels., • Prepare material for fabrication. Measure, cut, plasma cut, saw, grind, and weld various materials, such as steel plate, steel pipe and pipe fittings., • Perform pressure vessel welding according to ASME code and approved ASME weld procedures. As part of the interview process, all candidates will be required to complete a weld test. Please bring your welding helmet and steel-toed boots as you will be expected to weld during this test. Only candidates who pass the weld test will be considered for hire.
