Job Description Job Title: Experienced Commercial Embroidery Machine Operator Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Commercial Embroidery Machine Operator with in-depth knowledge of multi-head embroidery machines and garment production workflows. This role requires strong technical ability to independently set up, run, and troubleshoot embroidery equipment while consistently producing high-quality finished products. Core Responsibilities * Set up and operate commercial multi-head embroidery machines (Barudan) * Load and manage DST, EMB, or similar embroidery files into machine control panels * Assign needle positions and accurately match thread colors per design specifications * Hoop garments and materials correctly, selecting proper stabilizers, backing, and topping for each fabric type * Monitor machines during runs, responding to thread breaks, needle breaks, tension issues, and registration errors * Perform test sew-outs, adjust stitch density, placement, and sequencing as needed * Inspect embroidery for defects including puckering, poor coverage, thread trimming issues, or misalignment * Conduct routine machine maintenance (oiling, cleaning hooks, changing needles, checking tension assemblies) * Troubleshoot common mechanical and software-related issues to minimize downtime * Maintain accurate production counts and follow job tickets/work orders precisely Required Experience & Technical Skills * 2–5+ years of hands-on experience operating commercial embroidery machines * Strong understanding of stitch types, densities, underlay, and pull compensation * Experience working with multi-head machines in a production environment * Knowledge of fabric behavior (knits, caps, structured hats, jackets, performance fabrics) * Ability to identify when digitizing adjustments are needed and communicate corrections * Comfortable working from digital job tickets and production schedules Preferred * Experience with cap frames, flats, and specialty hoops * Experience in high-volume or contract embroidery production * Basic mechanical aptitude for more advanced troubleshooting Physical & Work Requirements * Ability to stand for extended periods and move between machines * Manual dexterity for threading needles, hooping garments, and changing components Schedule & Compensation * Full time * 7:30 - 4 Mon - Fri * Pay based on experience and machine proficiency * Benefits available
