Job Description Job Summary The Site Technician supports equipment maintenance, yard operations, installations, and fleet readiness. This hands-on role is responsible for welding, mechanical repairs, engine troubleshooting, moving and organizing equipment, assisting with field installations, and conducting inspections of company fleet assets. This employee will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with hydraulic systems, and the ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues in both shop and field environments. This position is a safety-sensitive role that requires compliance with the company's drug and alcohol policy and adherence to all safety regulations and procedures. Key Responsibilities • Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair company equipment, tools, and fleet assets, • Perform engine repairs and preventative maintenance on diesel, gas, and hydraulic-powered equipment, • Conduct routine inspections of fleet vehicles, trailers, and heavy equipment to ensure safe operating conditions, • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and complete corrective repairs, • Perform welding and fabrication for equipment repairs, modifications, and custom projects, • Inspect, diagnose, assemble, and repair vibratory hammers and related pile driving equipment, • Conduct performance testing and ensure equipment operates within manufacturer specifications, • Assist in the design, assembly, and maintenance of hydraulic shoring systems, • Move, stage, load, and unload equipment in the yard using forklifts, loaders, or other material handling equipment, • Maintain organization, cleanliness, and safety of the yard, shop, and storage areas, • Assist with delivery, setup, installation, and removal of equipment at customer job sites, • Support emergency service calls and field repairs as needed, • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection reports, and repair documentation, • Coordinate with operations, drivers, and management regarding equipment readiness and repair priorities, • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies/procedures and OSHA regulations, • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical problem-solving skills, • Dependable with strong work ethic and sense of urgency, • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities, • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices, • Team-oriented with good communication skills, • Adaptable and willing to assist wherever needed, • Expert knowledge of all operational processes, including shop, yard, or relevant experience., • Ability to read service manuals, schematics, and repair instructions, • Working knowledge of diesel engines, gas engines, hydraulics, and mechanical systems, • Basic computer or mobile device skills for inspections and work orders preferred, • High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred, • Previous experience in equipment maintenance, mechanical repair, construction support, or similar field required, • Welding and fabrication experiencerequired(MIG, TIG, and/orstickpreferred), • Experience operating forklifts or similar equipment preferred, • Valid driver’s license required; CDL is a plus
