Job Description The Vice President of Sales is responsible for driving enterprise revenue growth, market expansion, and sales team performance across all Island Tech Services business units, including: * Emergency Vehicle Upfitting * Mobile Data Computing, In-Vehicle Video and IoT solutions * Information Technology Managed services * Fire Apparatus and Equipment * Multi-location road service operations This executive leader develops and executes a scalable sales strategy aligned with ITS's operational capacity, technical capabilities, and long-term growth objectives. The VP of Sales is accountable for revenue performance, margin integrity, sales process discipline, and leadership development within the sales organization. This role reports directly to the Executive Vice President of Business Operations and works in close partnership with Operations, Finance, and Systems leadership. Responsibilities1. Revenue Strategy & Market Expansion • Develop and execute a 3–5 year sales growth strategy aligned with ITS expansion goals., • Identify high-value verticals (career, combination, and volunteer fire departments; municipalities; law enforcement; public works; utility fleets)., • Expand recurring revenue through managed services and lifecycle support programs. Drive geographic expansion across multi-location markets., • Establish structured account penetration strategy for key municipalities and regional agencies.2. Sales Leadership & Team Development, • Lead, coach, and develop Regional Sales Managers and Account Executives., • Establish clear performance expectations, activity metrics, and accountability standards., • Build a culture of consultative selling versus transactional quoting., • Implement structured onboarding and ongoing sales training., • Partner with HR to recruit high-performing sales talent aligned with ITS Fundamentals culture.3. Sales Process & Operational Discipline, • Standardize CRM usage and pipeline hygiene in NetSuite and other applications, • Implement stage-gate sales methodology for:, • Apparatus upfitting projects, • Technology deployments, • Multi-year managed service agreements, • Drive forecast accuracy (monthly/quarterly/annual)., • Reduce sales cycle time while protecting gross margin., • Collaborate with Operations to align backlog capacity and production scheduling.4. Margin & Pricing Strategy, • Maintain pricing discipline across equipment, labor, and managed services., • Work with Finance to establish margin thresholds and discount controls., • Ensure labor hour quoting aligns with shop productivity targets., • Protect profitability while remaining competitive in municipal bid environments.5. Strategic Account & OEM Partnerships, • Develop executive relationships with:, • Municipal decision-makers and command staff, • Purchasing agents, • Fleet managers, • Strengthen manufacturer partnerships (MDC, video, lighting, radio, IoT)., • Identify co-marketing and territory growth opportunities.6. Managed Services Growth, • Develop structured managed services tiers and pricing models., • Transition ITS from project-based revenue to recurring revenue streams., • Ensure sales team properly positions lifecycle support agreements., • Increase attachment rate of managed services to new installs.Qualifications, • 10+ years of progressive B2B sales leadership experience, • Experience in public safety, fleet, vehicle upfitting, municipal sales, or technology integration preferred, • Demonstrated success leading multi-location sales teams, • Experience managing both capital equipment and recurring revenue models, • Strong financial acumen (margin, pricing, forecasting), • CRM and pipeline management expertiseLeadership Competencies, • Strategic thinker with operational discipline, • High accountability orientation, • Data-driven decision maker, • Strong executive presence, • Builder of scalable systems and repeatable processes If you're ready to sell to those who serve-and want to make an impact in a high-growth company-we want to hear from you.
